1. Introduction

There is mounting evidence that in today's competitive markets, customers

are giving increasing weight to the quality factor before placing orders or
using the services of a company.

Users of services not only require assurance that products or services will be
delivered on time and will be fit for purpose, but that the supplier can
provide evidence that they have complied with the specification
requirements. The implementation of a recognised Quality Management
System must provide that assurance and give your company that vital
competitive edge.

The waste of resources due to unacceptable products in manufacturing

industries is estimated to be running at between 10% to 20% of turnover,
higher in some instances than company profits!

The effects of sub-standard quality within the service sector can be even
more devastating but is much harder to evaluate. Normally it results in the
loss of future business, but the business is lost before the non-conformance
causing the problem is recognised.

Properly applied Quality Management Systems will identify and resolve

avoidable costs associated with non-conforming products, which may have
to be either scrapped or reworked and help prevent future occurrences.
Within service based companies the introduction of a formal Quality
Assurance Management System gives a structure that provides a consistent
business process and feedback, to enable the maintenance of service
standards. This will help Al Ain Dairy Farm to conform to the requirements
of both internal and external suppliers and customers.

Within any organisation a regular audit of the application of the Quality

Management System provides feedback to Management to enable the
implementation of continuous improvements to the service or product.

2.1 ISO 9000 Awareness Training

This course is planned primarily to provide a basic understanding of the

requirements of ISO 9000 and the process of Quality Management System
Certification by a third party certification body. This is recommended as a first step
for personnel who are likely to be involved in ISO 9000 project implementation.
However, these one-day sessions are also useful for Senior Management and other
personnel who need to have a broad appreciation of the standard. This course will
be conducted for selected personnel of Al Ain Dairy Farm. The number of
maximum participants is limited to twenty per session.

2.2 Documentation Training / Workshop

A two-day course specifically planned for personnel who will be involved in

documentation and implementation of the quality system.

ISO 9000, the international standard for quality systems, specifies to suppliers,
manufacturers, and service companies what is required of a quality oriented system
of management. The standard establishes a requirement for "a documented
system". This involves a quality manual, quality assurance procedures and work
instructions.

This 2 day training course is designed to introduce the documentation requirements

of ISO 9000 and to ensure that all delegates are given sufficient information to
enable them to produce an appropriate quality manual and associated
documentation.

Interactive learning techniques and case studies will be used to emphasise key
features of the subject.

2.3 Assessment of present Management System

Evaluation of your existing Quality Management System will be made against the
requirement of ISO 9000. The assessment will identify areas of control considered
to be deficient and also any existing practices, which are over elaborate and could
be simplified.

4
This assessment will form the basis for the design and developments of a formal
Quality Management System, which will fully comply with the requirements of the
standard. A detailed report will be prepared and submitted to the client.

2.4 Review, Prepare, Approval and issue of Quality Management Documents

Our Consultants will identify and prepare the necessary Quality Management
System documents (Quality Manual, Operating Procedures) in Co-ordination with
the selected Management Representative of your organization in order to meet the
requirements of ISO 9002. These documents will be reviewed and approved by the
concerned personnel.

2.5 Internal Quality Auditor Training.

An interactive two-day course specifically designed for delegates of Al Ain Dairy

be conducted. This course complies with the requirements of formal internal
auditor training and training certificates will be issued to the successful candidates.
