FYI Corner
“What a fun way for children to learn about how
vegetables grow!”
Children enjoy gardening. Have a gardening party and
invite the fa milies to help dig and plant vegetables.
Once vegetables are ready for the children to pick,
encourage the children to use the vegetables in a
cooking/snack activity. They will learn about where
their food comes from, how seeds sprout, and how
plants grow.
Get children excited to plant and harvest by reading
books on gardening and adding music and movement
activities.
Yard space is no issue…… use containers to start an
indoor/outdoor patio garden!
