Bulk Load Of New Catalog Item Loads Successfully But Item Is Not Visible In iPro

This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms
A category is created in schema editor and an item was bulkloaded to this new ca
tegory. Searching for this item in iProcurement results in no items found.
If the item is assigned to a category that already exists in the catalog then th
e item can be found.

STEPS
-------------------
1. Select Schema Editor from e-content Manager
2. Create a new catalog category External - Printing
3.. Add a new entry to the Table of contents
4. Click on Build Table of contents
5. Click on the New Entry
6. Enter External Printing and Design as the Name and Description
7. Click on unassigned categories in sub-categories and add External Printing
8. Click on Save
9. Click on Map Oracle categories.
10. Open External Printing and Design and click on External Printing catalog
category
11. Select Oracle category 3131104.00000 and click on Map
12. Click on Map Catalog category
13. Select External Printing and Design and click open entry .
14. Select External Printing and select the Oracle category as before and click on
map.
15. Run catalog data purge and rebuild catalog intermedia indexes.
16. Bulk Load a catalog from a txt file with one item price line for the categor
y created. From
e-content Manager select Bulk load items and prices .
17. Click on View bulk load status . Bulk load completes fine - 1 line successful -
none
failed.
18. Go to iProcurement responsibility and search for the item - by Supplier, sup
plier item no and
category - the item is not found.
21. Browse categories Category and subcategory exists but no items are in the ca
tegory.

IMPACT
----------
Due to this issue, users cannot use items bulk loaded to categories created in t
he catalog administrator
responsibility.

Cause
Realms are active and the category is not included in the realms. That is
the reason the item associated to the category is not returned in the search res
ults in
iProcurement.
1. Login to iProcurement and browse categories to reproduce the issue (No result
s found)
2. After clicking on the category name in the category browse and getting no ite
ms in the search
results, place the following URL in the browser:
http://servername:serverport/oa_servlets/oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.perf.OA
AppModPoolMonitor
3. Click on AM Pool Details.
4. Click on ShoppingAM link. Again shoppingAM link.
5. Click on CategoryBrowseVO. This brings up a page with page title:Details of V
iew Object
:CategoryBrowseVO. It contains the query and bind values.
The query returned by the above steps shows that Realms are used for this iProcu
rement
responsibility.

Solution
To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
1. Check for realms assigned to the responsibility or the user. Security realms
consist of either
item sources or categories.
At the responsibility level, check for any of the following securing attributes
to determine the
realms associated with the responsibility.
RT_CATEGORY_ID (for categories).
ICX_POR_ITEM_SOURCE_ID (for external item sources such as TPN Register).
ICX_POR_REALM_ID
RT_CATEGORY_ID
ICX_POR_ITEM_SOURCE_ID
At the user level check for the securing attribute ICX_POR_REALM_ID.
2. Add the category to the realms for the responsibility or the user
3. Bounce the apache/jserv
4. Retest the issue to confirm the item associated to the category is returned i
n the search
results in iProcurement.
