All PGT programme fees in the College of Arts are:
• Home/EU Band 4: £4,500 Degree; £3,150 Diploma; £1,750 Certificate
• International Band 2: £11,500 Degree; £8,000 Diploma; £4,500 Certificate
Exceptions to the above are noted below:
The University offers a number of courses where you can study on a modular basis for a PG Certificate, PG Diploma or Postgraduate Degree. Most
modular fees are 20 credits and the amounts are noted on page 8.

The following additional fees are applicable to postgraduate students:

Fees for Masters and
Diploma programmes
1. If you register for a Masters and complete a Masters, you will be charged the listed
Masters fee.
2. If you register for a Diploma and complete a Diploma, you will be charged the
listed Diploma fee.
3. If you register for a Masters but decide that you want to do a Diploma instead, then
you’ll be charged for a Diploma. However this decision needs to be made within 13
weeks of registering. This is aligned with the University’s refund policy which states
that at 13 weeks no refund is possible for withdrawing. If the decision to switch
from a Masters to a Diploma is made after 13 weeks then you will be charged the
full Masters fee.
4. If you register for a Diploma but decide to do a Masters, you’ll be charged for a
Masters, whether you obtain a Diploma or a Masters at the end of the programme.

General notes
1. The exceptions to standard fees listed are correct at the time of going to press.
However, you should check the fee level applicable to your course of study at the
time of your admission.
2. Special fee levels apply to students whose place of ordinary residence is the
Channel Islands or Isle of Man. Details may be obtained from the Registry, see
www.glasgow.ac.uk/registry.
3. Fees quoted are for new entrants. Lower fees may apply to some continuing
students. Details may be obtained from the Registry. See www.glasgow.ac.uk/
registry.
4. International students may, in certain limited circumstances, be admitted to part-
time study paying an appropriate percentage of the relevant full-time international
fee.
5. Special fees apply to members of staff undertaking part-time study. Details may
be obtained from www.glasgow.ac.uk/services/humanresources/tuitionfeespolicy.
htm or from the Registry or Human Resources.
6. Different fee levels apply to some courses in the School of Education. Details
may be obtained from the school, see www.glasgow.ac.uk/education.
7. Students who are eligible by virtue of previous attendances to sit degree
examinations must enter for the examinations at the normal registration period at
the beginning of the session and pay a registration fee of £90.
8. Late fees are charged at 3% with a minimum charge of £5. Late fees will not be
charged to sponsors.
9. An additional charge will be made on payments made by credit card.
10. A charge of £20 will be made in cases of returned cheques, unpaid direct debits
and cancelled mandates.
