Newsletter
Combined November & December 2010 Messages
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear CFJC Member:
I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and in good health.
This newsletter combines our November and December messages because
we wanted to minimize the amount of email you receive from us. Since our
last mailing you already received a membership appeal asking for updated or
new member information, and a year end fund appeal. Three mass emailings
seems plenty.
Now one final appeal before the substance of this newsletter.
As we close out the year our number one priority is to raise funds to organize
CFJC "meetups" in communities around the state.
This means that all volunteer interns, volunteer Steering Committee
members and staff will be contacting each and every CFJC member via email
and/or telephone to determine how best to gather the members of your
community together to set priorities for the following:
 local policies and programs for your community
 priorities for California's new governor and legislature
 coalition priorities for Farm Bill 2012 legislation
We plan to conclude the meetups by mid-year, but we can't do so without
the financial contributions of our members to leverage foundation support.
For those who have already contributed, thank you. And for those who can
give right now, thank you in advance.
And now, a sampling of the hundreds of messages that passed though our
office this past month.
Best wishes in the coming New Year.
