INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT (20%)

ASSIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS

This is an individual project for students to conduct a research on the importance of


computers or information technology in today’s business and society. Your
study should focus on the following areas:
Fundamental of computer
The use of computer
Software application
Information system
Internet
(You may focus on a certain type of business for example: education, medical,
entertainment, broadcasting and etc.)

Upon the completion of this project, students need to submit a report that satisfies the
following specifications.

1. The report must consist of the following sections in correct order:


• Table of Contents
• Introduction of the topic
• Findings of the research
• Discussion of the findings
• Conclusion of the research
• References or bibliography
• Appendices (If any)
2. The coursework specifications cover sheet must be placed at the front (first page) of
the report.
3. The ideas, statements, figures or facts taken from any articles must be cited and the
articles must be listed in the References section.
4. The report must not be less than 5 pages or more than 10 pages excluding any
diagrams, figures and appendices.
5. Content writing must be based on the following report format:
• Font style: Times New Roman
• Font size: 12
• Line spacing: 1.5 line
• Titles and subtitles must be capitalized and bold

Important rules:
• The content of the report must be relevant to the selected topic. No mark shall be
awarded for any irrelevant content.
• Marks shall be deducted if the report specifications are not satisfied.
• Any late submission without proper reason, marks shall be deducted based on the
following criteria:
• 1 day late – deduction of 20% of the total marks.
• 2 days late – deduction of 50% of the total marks.
• 3 days late – deduction of 100% of the total marks.
