Decorbrite is produced on continuous coil processing lines under
constant technological development, capable of providing the widest
possible range of products, from mirror finish to satin matt, brushed
finishes and special mechanical textures.
DEPENDABILITY
While having a low specific weight, Decorbrite also guarantees a high

mechanical strength and chemical resistance. It is chemically inert,
does not corrode and maintains its beautiful hi-tech appearance over
a long period of time.

formation of a uniform anodic oxide film with a perfectly homogeneous

Decorbrite Technical Data
THE CHARACTERISTICS OF DECORBRITE
Each of the Decorbrite products is characterised by its distinctive

aesthetic appearance, obtained by a combination of mechanical roll
texturing and successive chemical treatments.
The key finishing processes are electrolytic brightening, which confers

gloss and surface homogeneity, and anodising, during which the
aluminium surface layers are converted into a thin hard layer of
aluminium oxide that is completely transparent and very resistant. in
this manner the resulting composite structure combines the inherent
nature of aluminium metal with the surface properties of chemical
inertness, high surface hardness, resistance to chemical agents, anti-
static character and resistance to scratching and finger marks.
The careful control of processes and parameters used at each stage of

the material’s production guarantees constant product characteristics.
The Decorbrite range is environmentally friendly as it contains no resins
or solvents, is completely recyclable and, compared to steel, has the
advantage of light weight (2,7g/cm3 against 7,9g/cm3 for steel).
Thanks to its high formability, Decorbrite gives flight to the designer’s
fantasies in every environment for a multitude of applications.

and cut to length on our in-house coil processing facilities providing
the opportunity to satisfy immediately the demand of the designer,

For many in the architectural and interior design sectors, sublimation
products are a totally new concept, although sublimation printing is a
familiar term within the printing industry.
So what is sublimation printing? It is a procedure of transferring full

colour graphics or photographs onto a wide selection of products.
These include metals, ceramics and unisub plastics and glass items all
specially pre-coated and therefore sublimation receptive.
Our focus is aluminium and we are the leading supplier of sublimation

Composite Sheet Architectural and surface design...
Aluminium composite sheet is particularly suitable for architectural and
surface design applications, due to its high strength, rigidity and
durability. This rigidity is achieved by its construction of a polythene
core sandwiched between two thin aluminium sheets.
This combination of products and manufacturing process provides a

product that can be up to a third of the weight for the same rigidity of
more traditional architectural cladding and panelling products, it is
clear to see why this has become a firm favourite for decorative and
cladding solutions.
All of our composite panels are available pre-finished in polyester

paint, offering a five year product guarantee. In addition to standard
colours, any colour is available providing you can satisfy a minimum
production run. All colours are available in an anti-graffiti finish which
is particularly popular for communal access areas.
We can also provide Special finishes, from granite and timber effect to
metallic and polished metals. These special finishes offer many diverse
opportunities for both the architect and the interior designer.
Our composite panels can be digitally and screen-printed and can also
be spray painted, facilitating the opportunity for bespoke surface
design.

Pre-anodised panels for interior & exterior applications... Pre-Anodised
Products
Lorin products are produced by our partner, the world’s largest pre-
anodiser of aluminium coil, in the United States. Lorin’s name has
become synonymous with product ingenuity, consistent quality and
innovative surface design.
INTERIOR APPLICATIONS
Lorin pre-anodised products are suitable for many interior applications

where aesthetics, durability and distinctive interior décor is required.
These include ceiling systems, panelling, partitions, framing and work
surfaces.
One such innovative product is Alumaplus, which is a stainless steel

look alike with one third of the weight of stainless steel. Alumaplus has
greater finger print resistance, forms to tighter tolerances and has
higher formability than stainless steel. These attributes make
Alumaplus an ideal alternative in many architectural and surface design
applications, such as kitchens, washrooms, reception areas, point of
display and medical display areas.
EXTERIOR APPLICATIONS
Lorin pre-anodised aluminium is not limited to interior design and

provides excellent opportunities for cladding, roof finishes and trims
and has been used widely in both commercial and domestic
architectural and design applications throughout the world.

Glazing Bar The simple solution for commercial & domestic glazing
THE SYSTEM
Ezi-Glaze is a new patent glazing system to suit glass or polycarbonate,

based on a simple range of components. It is suitable for pitched *
and some vertical applications.
* Minimum recommended pitch 5 degrees.
KEY FEATURES
• Self draining channels

• Polycarbonate up to 35mm
• 6mm to 25mm single or double glazing
• Snap on aluminium capping requiring no screws
• Thermally broken to achieve acceptable u-values
• Suitable for both commercial and domestic applications
• EPDM gasket to both sides of glass providing good water tightness

APPEARANCE
Ezi-Glaze aluminium sections are to BS EN755-9: 2001 and available in

mill finish or powder coated to most RAL and BS colours conforming
to BS 6496. Thus offering maintenance free use.
PERFORMANCE
The Ezi-Glaze system has been designed to conform with the

requirements of BS 5516: 1991 when installed with the manufacturers
recommendations.

For the type of glazing being installed, determine the appropriate load
conditions.
• Vertical Glazing subject to wind load and imposed load.

• Sloped Glazing subject to wind and snow load plus self weight and
any imposed loads.
STAGE 2
Refer to standards relevant to the structure being erected.
• BS 6399 Part 1 - Dead Loads and Imposed Loads

• BS 6399 Part 2 - Wind Loads
• BS 6399 Part 3 - Snow Loads
• BS 5516 - Patent Glazing
STAGE 3
Determine combinations of loading conditions and check for worst

case that dictates choice of glazing bar or span limit.
• Combining self-weight and snow loads, or self-weight and imposed

loads or whatever is deemed to give the worst case/limiting
combination.
STAGE 4
The outcome will give the load on the glazing bar as uniform load per
unit length or point load, plus load per unit length.
• Loads given per unit area can be converted to a load per unit
length by multiplying by the glazing bar centres.
STAGE 5
Refer to Load v Span charts to determine bar configuration required to

meet the site conditions.
