God's Providence God has the ability to foresee the future and He already has a plan
Ruth 1:1-5
Introduction
Genesis 19:35-37 So they made their father drink wine that night
also. And the younger arose and lay with him, and he did not know
when she lay down or when she arose. Thus both the daughters of Lot
became pregnant by their father. The firstborn bore a son and called
his name Moab. He is the father of the Moabites to this day.
Jeremiah 48:7-9 For, because you trusted in your works and your
treasures, you also shall be taken; and Chemosh shall go into exile
with his priests and his officials. The destroyer shall come upon every
city, and no city shall escape; the valley shall perish, and the plain
shall be destroyed, as the LORD has spoken. "Give wings to Moab,
for she would fly away; her cities shall become a desolation, with no
inhabitant in them.
Matthew 1:5-6 and Salmon the father of Boaz by Rahab, and Boaz
the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse
the father of David the king. And David was the father of Solomon by
the wife of Uriah,
Providence- “God directing the affairs of the universe and mankind
with wisdom and benevolence.”
God Has a Plan
Leviticus 26:18-20 And if in spite of this you will not listen to me,
then I will discipline you again sevenfold for your sins, and I will
break the pride of your power, and I will make your heavens like iron
and your earth like bronze. And your strength shall be spent in vain,
for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall
not yield their fruit.
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and
before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to
the nations."
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the
LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a
hope.
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things
work together for good, for those who are called according to his
purpose.
Romans 8:29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be
conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the
firstborn among many brothers.
Genesis 50:20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant
it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as
they are today.
God Uses the Good and the Bad
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things
work together for good, for those who are called according to his
purpose.
Jeremiah 18:4-6 And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled
in the potter's hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it
seemed good to the potter to do. Then the word of the LORD came to
me: "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done?
declares the LORD. Behold, like the clay in the potter's hand, so are
you in my hand, O house of Israel.
 The Book of Ruth
Phlilippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good
work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Naomi was not left alone in Moab, her God was still with her and
would provide, because her God had a plan!

Job 1:21 And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and

naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away;
blessed be the name of the LORD."

Genesis 18:25 Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the

righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the
wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do
what is just?"

Closing

Luke 23:34 And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not
what they do." And they cast lots to divide his garments.

Where are you in your walk with God? Have you placed your faith
and trust solely in Christ Jesus? Have you let go of the past and
picked up the cross?

How to have Eternal Life

God's
