INSTRUCTIONS

SETUP
Select “File”, select “Page Setup”, select “Margins”. Set the “Top” to 0.9”, “Bottom” to 0.7” and “Left”
and “Right” margins to 1”. This will allow your template to flow in the documents as designed.

INSERTING YOUR INFORMATION INTO THE TEMPLATE


Simply highlight any copy you want to replace and start typing.
The template is structured using “Styles” to establish the layout of the content on the pages. No
“tabs” or “spaces” are required to get content to line up properly.
If you find that you need to add additional groups of information (i.e. an additional past employment
listing), simply copy a complete listing and paste it in the proper location, then edit it with the correct
information.
To add additional individual lines of information (i.e. an accomplishment listing), simply copy a
complete line and paste it in the new location, then edit it with the correct information.

PROOF YOUR SPELLING AND CONTENT FOR ACCURACY


Take a break and come back later with a clear head. Check the details and spell check the resume
after all other corrections are made.

PRINTING
Select page 2 for printing. Resumes should be printed on an appropriate paper stock. Watermarked
stationery paper is preferred. High-quality colored paper in soft grays or tans are also appropriate.
Printed copies for faxing can be printed on virtually any white paper stock.
