“Say (O Muhammad): Call upon Allah or call upon The
Merciful, whichever you call upon, He has the best
names…..” 17:110

The word Allah in the Qur’an is the name of an

essence of His 99 beautiful names and qualities like
Merciful, Kind, Knowing…...

These qualities and Names are therefore an infra-

structure for human ethics (akhlaq) because in Islam,
the human being is the representative of Allah.

The Prophet (pbuh) has said: “Adopt the akhlaq of

What is a home?

A home is the most permanent of the 3 basic human

necessities - food, clothing & shelter.

The home is the centre of one’s life which determine

how one makes life’s decisions, it shapes our
attitudes, our awareness and self esteem. It provides
us with a foundation which is invisible.

A man has to adopt 3 characteristics with respect to

Adala (justice) literally means to put everything in its

rightful place. Sometimes justice is confused with
equality. Equality is not a condition for justice. e.g.
Justice in a classroom does not that all the students
are given equal marks; but that marks are given
according to ability and effort.

Similarly, it would not be justice if a large oak tree was

given the same roots as that of a small sapling.

Education is not just learning the skills to make a

Wajibat Mustahabat

In day-to-day life, Muslims maintain the sanctity of

God's commandments through a variety of practices
which are fall into five main categories – Wajib,
Mustahab, Haraam, Makruh, & Mubah.

Wajib or Fardh means a religious responsibility

which relates to tasks every Muslim is required to
perform such as salaa, sawm, hajj, hijab, eating only
halal…..
Mustahab or sunnat acts are duties recommended,
but not essential; fulfilment of which is rewarded,
though they may be neglected without punishment"
Haraam means forbidden. In Islam it is used to refer
to anything that is prohibited by Islamic law.
Makruh is a disliked act. Though it is not a sin, one
who abstains from it is rewarded.
Mubah denotes an act which is neither forbidden
nor recommended.
