IIDlE NEEDLE AD,JUSTMENT
WHh bo1h 1he idle and Ihi9lh speed needles set at 1 V4 turns open proceed as follows:
1_ Start ,engine and adjust idle speed screw so lhatengine idles sliighitly less than ch..ltch engagement
2- Turn i,cliia needle c~ockwiS!€ (lean) until engine ruos srnoo~hly.
3- IRe,adljlust idle speed screw to specified englilne idle RflM.
4_ Continue turning i\(i~e ne,edle clookwise slowliy until idle RPM begins to decrease. STOP ~
5. Turn idle needle cOUJnter·dlockw'ise for an optimum idle adjustment
6. Record the needle setling f,or you r futu re reference,
