Esta semana estaba leyendo el periódico de la Asociación Medica Estadounidense (JAMA por
sus siglas en ingles) buscando por temas nuevos en el tratamiento de enfermedades y allí me
encontré con un artículo acerca de Bisfenol A, más conocido como BPA por sus siglas en el
idioma anglo (Bisphenol-A.)
envasados que vengan en envases de vidrio o cartón estilo tetra-pak. Si aun esto no es posible,
trate de minimizar la compra de enlatados y comidas envasadas en plásticos; especialmente
aquellas comidas de naturaleza ácida (tomates, sodas, etc.) El ácido en comidas y bebidas hace
que el BPA sea “lavado” más fácilmente hacia el contenido de las comidas.
Otras maneras fáciles de disminuir la consumición del BPA son:
1) lavar los plásticos a mano en vez de usar el lavavajillas.
2) Calentar la comida en el microondas usando contenedores de papel o cerámica en vez de
plásticos.
3) Guardar comida en la heladera en contenedores de metal o cerámica.
