INTRODUCTION
Rajkot Municipal Corporation has made good effort in making attractive public
places. Some of them are as follows;
1) Aji dam
2) Nyari dam
3) Lalpari lake
4) Race course
5) Fun world
6) Doll museum
7) Watson museum
8) Iswariya park
9) Kaba Gandhi No Delo
Apart from this Iscon temple, Swaminarayan temple, malls and private
restaurant and resort are managed by private sector. As we are very well aware
that rajkotians are very jolly in nature and having rapid development,
comparatively there are very less number of places for entertainment and
enjoyment. So, there is a need for development of some of the places in Rajkot.

RESEARCH STUDY
As required by “RAJKOT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION”, we had undergone
research work on Iswariya Park for development and revenue. During our research
work we visit the site and collected information from primary and secondary sources.
We also collected information by interacting with the visitors, authorized person and
also with people working over there.
ABOUT ISWARIYA PARK GARDEN
It is situated at Rajkot-Jamnagar high way which is spread over 77 Acers land. This
park was inaugurated by honorable chief minister of our state Mr. NARENDRA
MODI dated on 8th feb.2008.
 It is an ideal place where the pilgrims can visit the temple as well as the
garden
 It also has a lake situated on its bank
 It consist of very peaceful environment surrounded by green trees having
garden and lawns occupying 20 acres which soothes the eyes of the visitors
 Facilities at Iswariya park
o Boating
o Golf course
o Light musical fountain

o Bird watch tower
o Natural landscape etc.
FINDINGS :
According to our research study of the Iswariya park we found the
followings;
1) Less awareness about place amongst people as there is no publicity.
2) There are no sign boards while reaching the destination (Iswariya park) on the
way, though there are three main ways to reach there. They are as; Bhomeswar-
150 feet ring road – Hospital chock.
3) There are no adequate street light and water facilities on the way to park.
4) There are no transportation facilities available while returning.
5) There is no attractive entrance.
6) There are no guiding maps within one kilometer and after that less sighs are
available.
7) There are less numbers of benches when compare to wide space.
8) No proper shape of road and look surrounding the main way

UNCOMFORTABLE IN BEGINNING OF PARK
9) There are no proper tab facilities and sitting facilities at cafeteria.
THE CANTEEN ON WAY: DIFFICULT TO REACH

BEACAUSE OF LACK OF CLEANING
10) There is no safety for children and even for senior citizens as there is no
boundaries and sloppy region

11) As the period for visitors is between 3.00 pm to 8.00 pm but there is no shade
facilities over the sitting arrangement made.
12) There is less maintenance and cleanliness of the park.

WATER : NEED IMPROVEMENT
SUGGESTION
There is a good effort by RMC but as it is asked for suggestions, we are sharing our
opinion. Our suggestions are as follows here we are divided the suggestion in internal
and external suggestion.
External suggestions;
1) There must be some publicity with regard to park to attract the public from city area.
2) There must be visible sign boards from city to Iswariya park.
3) There must be some transportation facilities specially Iswariya park to attract public
and also to earn revenue. Along with that can also concern raj city bus.
Internal suggestions;
1. Recommendation for building up an attracting entrance
2. For revenue can lay the charges for providing parking facilities.
3. At entrance there must be list of facilities available at the park and even model of
park.
4. There must be some rides available for children and youngsters.

5. Can also include;
a. Camel riding
b. Lighting and sound shoes like somnath
c. Magic shows
d. Photo gallery of Rajkot
e. On the spot video graphing and photographing
f. Well equipped canteen with sitting arrangement
g. Game zone
h. These all are on contract basis to earn revenue as well as for development.
6, There must be collaboration with schools and colleges for visit and providing
concession to student.
7, There must be a keep some board with written a good thought on the both side of
the main way of the park.
8, There is a need for planting more trees on barren land in the park.
9. There must be club facility and life membership to member of the club and can
save that money in the bank and can earn interest from it.
10. There must be windmill facility to generate power within the park for eco friendly
nature though there is huge investment but it is fruitful in longer period.
11. There must be some shaded huts at regular interval for convenience of senior
citizens.
12. There can also be frame facility for senior citizens.
13. There can also be sky train for an over view of park.
14. Boundaries must be made for safety of kids.
15. There must be more maintenance for cleanliness.

16. With respect to data available there is continuous decline in boating from 2008 to
2010 so we can include more water riding facilities like safety costumes and coast
guards.
17. Can create models of Seven Wonders of the World so that a common people who
cannot travel across the globe can have a view of it at one place.
18. An exit gate must be separately built so that people will not have to travel all the
way long to exit.
