BIOGRAPHY

Fraycat was raised in a family of professional musicians, you can see how music has shaped his
life…

Fraycat was born in Montreal, and raised in Toronto. His career took on many turns before he
finally fulfilled his true calling in music. Initially pursuing a convential career in a business
degree, he then went on to study to be a surgical nurse! He finally surrendered to his true love -
music. A multi-talented musician, he plays sax, keyboards and drums.

He has been a member of the Juno Nominee recording group Selections since 1986 and has
performed with many soloist and groups including Deborah Cox, Salome Bey, Keith Washington,
Chin Injeti to name a few. Debut performance at the Canadian Golden Note Awards show in
June 1986. In 1988 was the Golden Note Award Winners for "Best New Group"
Debut album self-titled "Selections" distributed by Awake Records in Europe and South Africa,
distributed by Attic/MCA in Canada and distributed by Wild Joker/T3 Records in the U.S.A.
Stage Appearances: with artists Michael Brooks, Earl Wright Jr., Ronald Winans, Jackie
Richardson, Salome Bey, Oscar Peterson, Deborah Cox, Pinball Clemens, Tonya Lee Williams,
Sheemar Moore and Gladys Knight.

Music written by Fraycat and the rest of the band got radio play (Medium to High rotation):
Energy 108, AM-640, CIUT, CKLN, CJCB (Sydney), Z95.3 (Vancouver), The Bridge (Vancouver),
BBC (London U.K.) WBLK (Buffalo) also including over 120 Radio Stations in the U.S.
Fraycat played live and did interviews through television appearances: Breakfast Television,
Lunch Television, Da Mix, Live & Interactive, Eye on Toronto, Crossroads Broadcasting, 100
Huntley Street, 700 Club, Prayer Palace, Peoples Church and The Candy Staten Show (Atlanta,
GA).
General Appearances: In concert for a variety of churches, social groups, television shows and
corporate sponsored events. Throughout his career he has traveled extensively throughout the
United States and Canada, performing at both the Montreal and Toronto Jazz festivals. 1999

Fraycat has also performed extensively in the club circuit with a funky jazz group called Da
Guys. With his technical background as a midi engineer and natural feel and vision for writing
music, he began producing and engineering music of many genres including jazz, reggae, hip-
hop and R&B from the early 90’s.

Recently Fraycat has been working with lyricist from Nashville and Bermuda, and has been
writing and producing R&B Hip Hop music that is intense, urban, and above all, speaks to today.
He has concentrated on editing and mixing for Fraycat Productions working out of Toronto in his
private project room and Just Platinum Recording Studios in Bermuda.
