Holocaust

Austin, Ben. "Kristallnacht." The Holocaust. Ed. Ben S. Austin. N.p., 21 Feb. 1996. Web. 26
Feb. 2011.

Part of a chain of websites called The Holocaust Ring MTSU professor Dr. Ben Austin compiles
a large amount of information and displays it in well written and easy to understand articles. The
specific article cited is on Kristallnacht; Dr. Austin does a good job of summarizing the events.

This will be a good article and will be very helpful in my Kristallnacht paragraph.

Cichopek, Anna. "After Liberation: the Journey Home of Jewish Survivors in Poland and
Slovakia, 1944-46." Cadmus. N.p., 2009. Web. 27 Feb. 2011.

Anna Chicopek provides stories of Jewish survivors focusing on what happened after the
Holocaust was over. This well written article and provides a lot of information on what the
Jewish experience was like after the Holocaust was over.

This will be an awesome source for my After Liberation paragraph. It is a well written article and
the stories of the holocaust survivors are enthralling.

Grobman, Gary M. "The "Final Solution"." Remember.org A Cybrary of the Holocaust. Ed.
Joseph Korn. N.p., 1990. Web. 26 Feb. 2011.

Inside the beautiful website of Remember.org is a collection of Dr. Gary M. Grobman's work on
the Holocaust. Grobman provides a good synopsis of what the Final Solution was. The Wannsee
Conference, Madagascar Plan, Ghettoization, and Death Marches are just a few of the column
headings used in this article.

This article will be good for me for a lot of different paragraphs in my paper. I will use it in my
Final Solution paragraph for sure.

Keren, Daniel. Holocaust Photographs. 1997. Web. 27 Feb. 2011.

Photographs scanned from Keren on to the Shamash website are those being cited. All of the
photos are authentic and moving. Some are very gruesome, but all start to paint the picture of
what the Holocaust looked like. Each photo comes with its own abstract written by Keren.
Bagley 2

These will probably be the photos I use in my paper. I doubt I will use any other source for my
photos. These are very good.

Larsen, Brian B. "Methods of Mass Murder." The Danish Center for Holocaust and Genocide
Studies. Ed. Peter Vogelsang. N.p., 2002. Web. 26 Feb. 2011.

The Danish Center for Holocaust and Genocide website is a very beautiful and well put together.
The information is very riveting and brings a lot of information specific to genocide and killing
methods. The articled being cited is very graphic, but also insightful. From Mass Shootings, to
the Extermination Camps, no detail is spared no matter how shocking.

This is a very good source for my Killing Methods paragraph and I am very excited to read more
and learn more from this article.

Longman, Addison W. "Statements by Hitler and Senior Nazis Concerning Jews and Judaism."
University of West England School of Humanities. Ed. Stuart D. Stein. N.p., Nov. 1998.
Web. 25 Feb. 2011.

Providing a collection of quotes from Hitler and Senior Nazis, this webpage uses specific
speeches to provide an overall view of how the Nazis felt about Jews and Judaism. It has quotes
from Hitler from 1920 to 1945 all regarding his views on Jews.

This will be a great source for me because I will be able to have specific quotes as examples of
the Nazi’s feelings towards Jews.

Miller, Frieda. "Liberation." Virtual Museum. Ed. Roberta Kremer. N.p., 2002. Web. 27 Feb.
2011.

The Virtual Museum provides a well written and easy to read format interfused with a smart
layout and easy to navigate website. The article being cited specifically is on the Liberation of
the Jews. This short article provides a lot of information and provides facts that are more than
just common knowledge.

This will be a good website for my paper and should provide me with all the information I need
on Liberation.

Peters, Michael. "Treblinka." Aktion Reinhard Camps. Ed. Chris Webb. N.p., 4 Sept. 2006. Web.
27 Feb. 2011.

Aktion Reinhard Camps brings a very in-depth description of each and every Death Camp in the
Holocaust. The article being cited is specific to Treblinka death camp. The timeline feature on
the website is very helpful to understand when the tragedy was worst and at what time. The
overview of each death camp is very well written and very informational.

This website essential to my Death Camp paragraph and may be essential to my paper as a
whole.

Pridham, Noakes, Geoffery Pridham, and Jeremy Pridham. "The Nuremberg Laws." Jewish
Virtual Library. Ed. Mitchell G. Bard. AICE, JVL, 1974. Web. 25 Feb. 2011.

The Jewish Virtual Library provides a wonderful summary of the Nuremberg Laws. A brief
description of the events leading up to the laws being passed is followed by a description of each
law and how it affected the Jewish people living in Germany.

I think this source will provide me with just the basic amount of information for me to
understand the Nuremberg Laws. I will probably need a more in depth source later.

Rossel, Seymour. "Holocaust An End to Innocence." Rossel on the Web. Ed. Seymour Rossel.
N.p., n.d. Web. 26 Feb. 2011.

Rabbi Seymour Rossel provides his own Jewish perception and opinion on the Holocaust.
The specific article being cited is on The Ghettos. Rabbi Rossel is a good writer and has very
good opinions on the Holocaust and how it should be looked at. He also brings a modern
Jewish view to what the Holocaust means.

I am not so sure it will be all that good of a source because it is very opinionated. I will really
have to sort through the article to find information that is credible for my Rounding up the
Jews paragraph.

The Holocaust: A Tragic Legacy. N.p., 1997. Web. 23 Feb. 2011.

Written for Students by Students, The Holocaust: A Tragic Legacy is a well written collection of
information about the Holocaust. Written in an informational but easy to read format, the specific
web article in use, The Nazis Rise to Power, is both compelling and thought provoking. In a
chronological fashion, the article splits the Nazi’s rise to power into 5 categories from: Hitler’s
Kampf to Hitler becomes Dictator.

This article will be specifically useful in my Nazi’s rise to power paragraph.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. "Deportations to Killing Centers." United States
Holocaust Memorial Museum. N.p., n.d. Web. 26 Feb. 2011.

The USHMM website is a very credible online encyclopedia that specifically centers on the
Holocaust. The article I am citing is about the deportation of Jews to death camps. There is a lot
to this article and it covers a lot more than just what the title says.

This article will be useful for my paragraph on the Deportation of Jews to Death Camps and the
selection process.
