YOUR EVENT
DESIGN THEME
Your
tablescape
design
Imagine a big spread of different pretty china and glamorous cut glass cake plates and stands at d
heights, crammed full of gorgeous mini sandwiches, canapés and teeny cakes, everything is bite s
elegant. Across the table are scattered vintage playing cards various cute Victorian pots holding dif
jams, butter and clotted cream. Each person has their own very pretty vintage tea cup place setting
vintage cutlery. Around each tea cup is a ‘Who are you?’ label with the ladies’ names. There are dr
labels around tea pots full of Prosecco and pink cocktails, once you have drunk fizz from a tea pot
never go back! Delicate eat me cocktail sticks adorn the plates of tasty treats a feast fit for a queen
Faye at the head of the table in a special chair.

Scattered around the table are trivia cards to get the guests talking before you launch into the othe
activities and games.
We heart cake bunting

We hear that Faye loves bunting.

We propose a set of cake bunting for a

main sponge cake made especially for the
colour scheme. This is Faye’s to keep.

We hire you matching ribbon bow bunting

to hang in 2 x 5M lengths. These are
strands of ivory rope with different coloured
ribbons tied in bows along them at intervals
– a cute alternative to standard bunting.
Table AND PARTY DECORATIONS
Ideally for most effect you will all sit down around one table. But this will
depend on the venue’s furniture.

The price is for all china hire and decorations including cake stands and
accessories.

Everyone gets their own 3 piece china hire set. Our ‘Who are you?’ name
badges tied with ribbon around each tea cup work well for those who might
not know each other and will also help keep track of which tea cup is whose!
Prices
All stationery supplied is to keep.

If serving food as a Tea Party buffet table, we provide less cake plates and Sit down
tea pots and you will need to refresh the sandwiches and cakes.

Other props for the room
We are happy to source or make these and provide hire costs, or you can ask people to bring something
similar:

Lots and LOTS of different types of clocks or make them from card and attach EVERYWHERE.

A black cuddly toy cat. Create a big grin from white card and attach it.

Pink Flamingos – you can buy several options including inflatables and pinattas OR you can buy kitsch
pink drinks stirrers instead.
flowers

Fresh flowers are always best and add so much more to an event as they give the impression the
decoration has been thought out. They don’t have to be expensive. You can pick up some very pretty
bunches from supermarkets these days for under £10.

STYLIST TIP: For Faye’s hen stick to pretty pinks, peaches, whites and neutrals with some strikes of
that gorgeous blue.

Arrange some of the larger flower heads as single heads in tea cups and organise different sizes of
bunches for the tea pots. Put the tea cups around the room on stools and shelves. Don’t be afraid to cut
them down to size.
Mini hat Fascinator making
kits
Kits contain a black mini top hat with a selection
of gorgeous fabrics and feathers and
embellishments.

Hats come with hooks to attach decorations to

making it easy to do for everyone. More crafty
people can use glue to make their own designs.

Black hats for the group and a white hat for Faye.

Hens could then wear out to the pub and take

home to wear again!

£15 per person.

Vintage goddesses

Transform yourselves into vintage

sirens. We are talking ruby lips, slick eye
liner and perfect complexions.

We will provide you with step by step

instructions from a qualified make up
artist on how to achieve key vintage
looks using make up products you will
have in your bag.

Hens can then do each other’s make up

and nails following the instructions so
you are all ready to hit the town.
TRIVIA GAME
There are a number of options you can play. If you supply us with the
information we can print out 25 of these Q&A cards to distribute amongst the
guests. These can be about Faye herself or her friends or even as general as
marriage and friendship and sex.

Or you can set guests tasks to complete by the end of the tea party. Perhaps
someone has to use the word ‘uranium’ in a sentence addressing the group or
perhaps someone else has to scratch their ear with another person’s teaspoon
and let them catch them.

Or we can ask questions about the story Alice in Wonderland itself.

These little conversation starters can help bring the group together.
Gifts for the girls

Afternoon tea recipe cards to take home – tied up with lace and pearls - £3 each.

Similar designed Lottery Ticket cards - £1.20 each (exc lottery ticket)

HIRE TERMS OF SERVICE
Hire Times
A standard order will be on hire to you for 3 days. Any extra time required may incur a surcharge but this will be discussed at the time of order.
Delivery or Collection
Old Fashioned Knees Up is very happy for you to collect your crockery and accessories from the address stipulated at the time of your order, therefore
avoiding any delivery or collection charges. However if you prefer for us to deliver and collect the goods for you there is a £20 delivery charge and £20
collection charge within a 60 mile radius of Old Fashioned Knees Up Outside of this area we will speak to you to discuss the delivery/collection charge
at the time of your order. We are very happy to deliver anywhere in mainland UK and will aim to keep delivery costs to a minimum at all times.

Cancellation
If you have to cancel your order and you do so within 30 day of the agreed delivery/collection date then you will incur no charge and your deposit will be
returned in full. However if cancellation takes place within 30 days of the agreed delivery/collection date your 50% pre paid deposit is non-returnable.
Please make your cancellation in writing via Royal Mail to the stipulated address given on your order confirmation.

Packaging
All of your items will be packaged carefully and must be returned to Pretty Vintage having been repackaged with due care and placed back into their
original boxes or crates. The crockery is obviously fragile and if you choose to avoid a washing up surcharge and wish to wash the items yourself it is
imperative that they are hand washed and dried with care. These vintage items were obviously not designed for dish washers!

Linen
Please make sure that any linen is dry and free of debris before being packed away. If tablecloths and napkins are left damp they are highly susceptible
to mildew. Damage caused by mildew, cigarettes, candle burns, or heavy staining will be charged at full replacement cost which is £10 per cloth and
£1.50 per napkin.

Charges and Damages

When your order is placed with OFKU you will be asked to secure it with a 50% payment of the value of your total order. The balance will then be
payable 30 days prior to your delivery date. In addition there will be an £80 standard damage deposit which is payable at the same time as your
balance but with a separate cheque. This cheque will not be cashed unless anything is damaged or broken. If this is the case each item will be
deducted from the £80 damage deposit at £5 per item regardless of size. Table linen is charged at a value of £10 per tablecloth if stained or
damaged. This deposit will be returned once all items have been checked and the order is deemed to be complete and in good order. Crockery and
glassware returned chipped will be charged as broken.

Checking and Signing

It is very important that you check your items carefully upon delivery and sign the accompanying delivery note accordingly. Please bring to our attention
any problem with your delivery at this time.
