Anlene is a range of products specially formulated for adults' who may

be lacking in essential bone nutrients.

In there latest commercial release this year, entitled “The Strong

Woman”, they narrate a story about a girl who leave her family at a younger
age of 15 and start to live alone with herself and strongly. When she turns 28
years old and already builds her own family, she experiences a huge struggle
in life when they got devastated by terrifying natural disaster. But despite
this unfortunate event, she remains as a strong woman.
As the time goes by, and she gets older, while playing with her only
daughter in the park, accidentally, she fell on the ground as scrapping due to
stomach pain. After a day, she went to a clinical doctor to consult her health
status, and she was shock and speechless when she found out that the
reason why she fell down is Osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis is disease where bones break easily and may lead to
permanent disability. A condition characterized by a decrease in the density
of bone, decreasing its strength and resulting in fragile bones. Osteoporosis
literally leads to abnormally porous bone that is compressible, like a sponge.
This disorder of the skeleton weakens the bone and results in frequent
fractures (breaks) in the bones.
To justify her image being a strong woman, she drinks anlene to
prevent further consequence of osteoporosis. And when she the meet elderly
stage, she remains a strong woman and live a normal life without
osteoporosis.
This commercial is mainly emotional advertisement because it
promotes the benefit of product (anlene) through expressive drama and
involves acting characters and persuasive story.

SAFEGUARD

Safeguard is an antibacterial soap of P&G registered with the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) and is sold in the United States, Canada, Egypt, China
and the Philippines.

In there advertisement, they simply inform the customer about the benefit of
their product with a doctor who are talking with the viewers.

Some quotable line is: “Clinically provent na nagtatanggal upto 99% of

sickness-causing germs”.

They also present the participation of credible organization in their

advertisement:
“Ayon sa research, pag nagkatrangkaso, pwedent umaabot hanggang 14
days sa kanyang pagkaabsent, sa trabaho, para makaiwas ang skin sa sakit,
PAMET (Philippines Association of Medical Technologists) recommend
Safeguard…”
This advertisement is mainly informative in the sense that it use a
propaganda technique that wholly intended to inform the viewers about the
benefits and other positive traits of the product without the intervention of
emotional drama and lastly, it help its consumers to make their own informed
decisions

nformative advertising is when advertising is carried out in an informative manner. The idea is to give the ad the
look of an official article to give it more credibility. Also, informative ads tend to help generate a good reputation.

In terms of Strategy

In terms of strategy, informative advertising employ the usual propaganda

technique which just tells the viewers of what is all about the product or services.
In my on observation, usually, informative advertisement is not so noticeable,
especially; to those who are not interested to hear and watch advertisement that
only say good qualities of the product or services. Viewers often become bored
to watch a commercial that are only tells positive trait of the product or services
which, in result, customers tend to ignore the ads.
Various commercial are proliferated in the television, and nowadays, the
viewers wants to find different taste or seek something new that can be easily
become aware of.
While, in mainly emotional advertisement, it possess an advertising
strategies that are very unique, interesting and noticeable as well because it
goes out from the normal fashion or style of advertising. They are unique
because they are not common with some other ads that we commonly see in the
television; interesting because it permits the viewer to make their own opinions
and judgments base of what they felt for it; noticeable since it very unique, thus it
make the viewer easily find the product and keep watching with the
advertisement.
With regards to the design of the advertisement, I guess even it is mainly
emotional or informative; it really depends upon the type of product you are
promoting. If your product is intended for children, you must adopt a design that
suitable for younger age, while if the product or service is mainly for adult, like
beer, well, it must look like more matured. But for my own observation in many
cases, I find emotional advertising to be more creative in terms of design, since
what I’ve said earlier, emotional ads sometimes goes out on normal style of
propaganda; it not sometimes common with other. While in informative ads, I
can’t see or appreciate the design of the advertisement because many entities
had already doing the same designs.
