Free throw technique and appropriate number of repeating were performed by basketball players on state competition level. 120 attempts of free throws were encompassed and they were categorized as successful, succssesful with overthrow, successful with underthrow and unsuccssesful. Statistically significant difference was obtained on the basis of Wilkins lambda value of 0,70 while F aprocsimation of 2,31 and with freedom degree of 18 and 314.

CISION AND POSITION OF THE PLAYERS Stankovic Ratko (Faculty of sport and physical education, Serbia and Montenegro)
On a representative sample of subjects basketball players
of the basketball club «Zdravlje» from Leskovac who are playing on different positions guard, forward and center, a video recording of the free throws technique was made with the aim to define the differences in kinematic and go- niometric parameters related to the success in free throw realization. The method used is comparative kinematic method, aimed at finding the differences in kinematic and goniometric pa- rameters wanted, with final purpose in gaining informa- tion on prediction of free throw performing success. The free throw technique and appropriate number of repeating were performed by basketball players on state competition level. The result they had was % free throws of differ- ent values. The difference in kinematic and goniometric parameters in accordance to free throw success was ob- tained. By means of 2D kinematic analysis 120 attempts of free throws were encompassed and they were catego- rized as successful, succssesful with overthrow, successful with underthrow and unsuccssesful and the following vari- ables were obtained: absolute angle in the shoulder joint during ball shooting, absolute angle in the elbow joint dur- ing ball shooting, absolute angle in the wrist joint during ball shooting, height of the ball during ball shooting, le- near speed of the ball after shooting and the shooting an- gle. The results were statistically processed by: means of the multivariate variant analysis. The multivariate variant analysis results are given, including all the categories of free throws in kinematic and goniometric variables, done by all types of players. From the results obtained, the fol- lowing can be concluded: the free throw categories being studied here show statistically significant differences. This statistically significant difference was obtained on the ba- sis of Wilkins lambda value of 0,70 while F aprocsimation of 2,31 and with freedom degree of 18 and 314 and brings about a significant difference on the level of p = 0.00. From univariate analysis, it can be noticed that there is statisti- cally significant difference in elbow angle variable on the significance level of p=0.03. Observing significance val- ues of t-tests between the category pairs of free throws, statistically significant difference can be noticed, the one of means between category of successful free throws and cat- egory of successful attempts with overthrow, on one hand, and between successful attempts with under throw and un- successful free throws, on the other hand (p=0.03, p=0.05, p=0.01, respectively).
