The Southwest Economic Alliance (SWEA) hosts its sixth annual

Tapping Into Rural-Urban Synergies
JUNE 9-10, 2011

Assembly 2011 promises to be a unique forum for networking, learning and


strategizing about economic development issues that directly affect the
Southwest Region. This year’s SWEA conference looks at the issue of
building Rural – Urban Synergies.

PROGRAM

Assembly 2011 will open with a reception at the Science Complex Atrium at
the University of Guelph on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00
pm. A hospitality suite will then be available at the Delta Guelph Hotel &
Conference Centre from 8:30 pm – 11:00 pm.

Assembly 2011 will feature a distinguished line-up of speakers and panelists


who will share their personal success stories and expertise. This year’s
program has been carefully designed to explore how to grow prosperity in
southwestern Ontario by tapping into rural-urban synergies. It promises to
deliver leading-edge subject matter for community leaders and economic
development professionals in the private and public sectors.

Plenary sessions will present new, thought-provoking as well as a variety of


workshops that will present insights and tools from experts who will share
their expertise and present case studies from Ontario and other jurisdictions.
