Full RDS EON with Traffic Programme offers two-fold advantages. Automatic tuning allows an RDS station to be ‘locked on’ so that should
the van travel in and out of various transmitter ranges, the set will automatically re-tune to the strongest signal for that station to maintain
optimum reception. When locked on to an RDS station, the station name will be displayed on the multi-function display, rather than the
frequency. The second advantage is the Traffic Programme, which can automatically broadcast travel bulletins from the nearest BBC
transmitter. Travel bulletins can interrupt whatever audio programme is currently being played.

In addition to its other functions the
NCDC 2015 unit, available on Combo, also
features a built-in ‘hands free’ carphone.
All functions are integrated into one unit
and are operated via the same control
panel and remote display located in
the facia.
The carphone unit offers state-of-the-art
GSM mobile phone functions, including
Short Message Service, fast redial of up to
ten numbers, and a multi-party function,
which allows you to switch back and forth
between at least two additional callers.
You simply insert your existing mobile
phone SIM card (an adaptor may be
required), then make and receive calls
through the remote microphone and car
audio speakers. The carphones’ ‘hands-
free’ operation allows the driver to not
only conduct a telephone conversation,
but make, receive and end calls with both
hands safely on the steering wheel. As
an additional feature, the unit allows you
to make emergency calls even without a
SIM card. From a quality perspective, the
factory-fit installation means that the
whole system is of original equipment
quality and comes with a full Vauxhall
warranty.
Please note: At present, the NCDC 2015 carphone
is only compatible with the GSM 900 frequency (i.e.
Vodafone and O2 – though not with the pre-paid O2
SIM card). It is not compatible with the GSM 1800
frequency (i.e. Orange and T-Mobile).

Vauxhall Assistance is operated by the AA,
and is provided automatically with every
new Vauxhall for 12 months from first
registration. It covers everything from
accidents, mechanical breakdown and
flat tyres to illness while driving – even
lost keys. With Vauxhall Assistance, help
is literally just a free** phone call away,
24 hours a day, 365 days a year!
** Mobile phone users will be charged at their
standard tariff.
Glossary of terms
Plated weight
The maximum weight to which a vehicle or
an axle may be loaded, determined either
by the design of the components or by
legislation. All commercial vehicles must
carry a manufacturer’s ‘plate’ showing the
vehicle and axle gross ‘plated weights’. It is
an offence to drive a vehicle in a condition
where any of these weights are exceeded.
Kerbweight
The weight of the complete vehicle in
standard form, excluding payload and
driver but including coolant, oil, 90% full
fuel tank and spare wheel (spare wheel
optional on Combo Dualfuel). Kerbweights
quoted in Vauxhall brochures are subject
to manufacturing tolerances and to the
fitment of optional equipment and
accessories. Where load capacity is critical
the actual kerbweight should be obtained
by weighing the vehicle on a calibrated
public weighbridge.
Benefits include:

● Recovery – if a problem cannot be solved
at the roadside, or if someone is taken
ill while driving, the driver, vehicle and
all passengers will be transported to
the nearest Vauxhall dealer or to any

Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)
The total permissible weight of a vehicle
including payload and passengers, as
shown on the manufacturer’s plate.
Gross Combination Weight (GCW)
The maximum permissible weight of a
vehicle, including payload and passengers,
combined with the total weight of any
trailer it is towing. The maximum GCW
weight limit is quoted on the vehicle plate
and must not be exceeded.
Total carrying capacity
The total permissible weight that can be
carried without exceeding the vehicle’s
plated weight. Often referred to as
‘payload’, it can be obtained by deducting
the kerbweight from the plated Gross
Vehicle Weight (GVW). Note that the figure
obtained will include the weight of the
driver and any passengers.

Maximum towing weight
The maximum weight of any trailer and its
load which may be towed within the limit
of the vehicle’s plated Gross Combination
Weight (GCW). It is based on the ability of
the vehicle – at full GCW – to restart on a
12% gradient (which is approximately 1 in
8.3), at sea level. At altitudes above 1500
metres, the engine output may drop with
a corresponding reduction in towing
capability. It is the operator’s responsibility
to ensure that the trailer noseweight does
not cause the rear axle plated weight of
the towing vehicle to be exceeded.
Always fit Vauxhall towing attachments
and accessories available from your
Vauxhall dealer. They are designed
specifically for Vauxhall models and
carry a 12-month warranty.
