• Ensuring the television is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
• Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the TV controls.
• Not standing the TV on cloth or other materials placed between the television and

Positioning the TV set
• Place the TV screen on a solid horizontal surface, observing all safety instructions about
positioning the TV on page 5 (see page 8 for how to attach the base).
• Leave a space of at least 10cm free all around the set for ventilation.
• To prevent any fault and unsafe situations, do not place any objects on top of the set.
• This TV set can be used in tropical and/or moderate climates.

Antenna and power connections

1. Connect the antenna cable (not supplied) into the antenna input terminal at the rear
panel of the TV set and plug the cable into the antenna socket in the wall.
2. Connect the power plug into the wall outlet. (The type of power plug provided may be
different from the above picture for some countries.)
NOTE:
• A 75Ω coaxial antenna cable is normally used for current outdoor antennae or cable TV.

Attaching the base

When attaching the base to the TV monitor, make sure you have all the parts and accessories
required — see page 6 for a list of the complete box contents. You will also need a Phillips
screwdriver. Then follow the instructions below.

1. As pictured in Diagram 1, fasten the

bracket (2) to the base (1) with the four long
screws (BA4x20) (3) and tighten the screws.

2. Put a large soft cloth on top of a flat surface

(such as a table) to prevent damaging the LCD
screen. Then place the TV monitor flat on top
of the cloth with the screen side facing down,
as pictured below in Diagram 2.

3. Now insert the base into the opening

at the bottom of the TV, as pictured
above in Diagram 2. Make sure you
insert the base in the correct direction,
as you will not be able to screw it in
place if it is inserted the wrong way.
4. The four round holes in the
connection bracket of the base (4)
should align with the four holes at
the back of the TV housing. When the
holes are perfectly aligned, connect
the base to the TV set with the four
shorter screws (WM4X10) and tighten

Problem Solution
Snowy dots and If the antenna is located in the fringe area of a television
interference signal where the signal is weak, the picture may be
marred by dots. When the signal is extremely weak,
you may need to install a special antenna to improve
the reception. Other options include:
1. Adjust the position and orientation of the indoor/
outdoor antenna.
2. Check the connection of the antenna.
3. Fine tune the channel by selecting the channel into
"Channel Setting" (see page 20) and scroll down to "Fine
Tune" to slightly adjust the frequency.
4. Try another channel. Broadcasting may be interrupted.
Pixellation, picture Black spots or horizontal streaks appear, or the picture
breaking up flutters or drifts. This is usually caused by interference
from a car ignition system, neon lamps, electric drills or
other electrical appliances.
Ghost (analog TV only) Ghosts are caused by the television signal following two
paths: one is the direct path, the other is reflected from
tall buildings, hills or other objects.
Changing the direction or position of the antenna may
improve the reception.
Radio frequency This interference produces moving ripples or diagonal
interference streaks and, in some cases, loss of contrast in the picture.
Identify and remove the radio interference source.
