Registration & logging on

To access the members area click on the


following link or copy and paste it on your
browser https://www.rics.org/mydetails

First Time Users


For first time registration click on the link under the
‘Register’ column & follow the on screen instructions.

After successful registration, a password will be mailed


to your registered email id.

Logging On
To access your My RICS account, enter your
membership number and password under the ‘Login’
column of the landing page

Update Personal Details


The first screen that opens is My RICS.

Here you can amend your details, change your


password or tailor your home page by subjects and
countries of interest by using the options below.

Be sure to save your changes when you are done.

My RICS

This is where you'll find all the tools and information you need for customizing your
prefences and details.

Here you’re able to change your contact address, discover training opportunities
and record learning activities.

Based on your professional interests, you can join up to four Faculties. Joining a
Faculty will ensure that you receive the Journal and e-newsletters targeted to your
area of expertise.

This zone also carries the latest information on RICS Lifelong Learning and CPD
events and requirements.

Routes to membership through APC and ATC pathways are also accessible here.

In the newsroom section, you can find our Press releases, Research, Reports,
Position papers, Open consultations, Economic comment and Features on topical matters.

You can subscribe to the RICS Connect Newsletter.

The newsletter contains information on the work of the public affairs, press, economics,
research, policy and regulation policy teams in the UK and is available fortnightly.

The Knowledge Zone


The Knowledge Zone contains:

- All RICS Practice Standard documents:


Freely available to download. Included are all Guidance
Notes and the full text of the RICS Red Book in all
international versions

- All RICS Professional Journals


Archived in this zone and accessible online as Adobe
PDF download files

- All professional support and technical advice publications


issued by the Faculties* and Forums, as well as technical
publications issued by other RICS regions and
departments

- All archived copies of the RICS market surveys, including


the latest headline research in each practice area

RICS produces a range of specialist electronic newsletters, tailored to your interests.

As a member you can sign up to as many e-newsletters as you wish. By visiting the My RICS section and selecting 'My details',
you can manage your preferences.

RICS e-newsletters cover a range of areas, from Faculty* bulletins and regional round-ups through to international news.

The main e-newsletter is RICS News which is delivered weekly, and the RICS Library produces the Knowledge Alert e-newsletter
(contact the Library for further information).

Other newsletters include –Regional , Faculties* and Forums and UK Regional.

Other sections in the Knowledge Zone include economic commentary, economic surveys, special reports and UK economic brief.

Research Reports
RICS publishes research results through the

Journal of African Real Estate Research


This providing a forum for the publication, discussion and debate on the latest research on issues relating to land, property and
construction markets in Africa.

Energy fact sheets


These fact sheets provide an overview of energy use, and of the steps being taken to reduce carbon emissions from the built
environment, for a range of countries around the world.

Networks

Networks at RICS range from the structured


Professional Groups and Forums - provide targeted
practice and technical information - to our provision of
informal networking tools, such as the
RICS Discussions Forums and online communities.

Professional Group
The Professional Groups’ primary role is to develop
technical standards, generating professional
guidance & information. In addition to this, they are
responsible for setting and maintaining the APC/ATC
competencies, which make up the APC/ATC
pathways for the practice area groupings of
Built Environment, Land and Property.

As an RICS member, you are entitled to join up to four


Professional Groups as part of your annual
subscription.

Benefits of joining
- Where appropriate, the right to use the
alternative designation attaching to the specific
group
- Receipt of a technical journal relating to the Professional Group
- e-briefs relating to the Professional Group

Forums
Working in conjunction with the 17 faculties, there are also four forums, open to both RICS members and non-members.

The four forums are;


- Building Conservation
- Dilapidations
- Recovery and Insolvency
- Telecoms

If you would like to become a member of any of these forums, please log on to the communities website and enter your details to
register. Membership is free.

As the mark of property professionalism worldwide, RICS has members in 146 countries. Our world regional structure
represents them all, and is integral to our delivery of knowledge and services at a local level around the world.
