BPSL Bangalore August 2010

Structural Detailer & Programmer.
Developed an Excel Sheet for creating Bar Bending Schedule using VBA &
Access Database. The user could select the shape code and the corresponding
formula for the shape code and the image of the shape would change
accordingly.

Developing software using AutoLISP and DCL which would be having

facilities for creating the Length table of the rebars. Assigning Data to the
Polylines thus turning the data of autocad into information. Automatic callout
creation, automatic creation of T1 or B1 Bars, Automatic creation of stirrups,
Generating plan from elevation, Automatic creation of sections. All this and
more. Thus making the life of the detailer easier.

Did part of detailing for ‘Cleveland Clinic’ – Abu Dhabi, one of the biggest
hospitals.

KSP Soft Coimbatore April 2006 - 2010

Project Head.

Projects worked with on, or with the Design Team.

HVAC Design using AutoVVS a specialized software from Mi2, Sweden for
design of HVAC systems.

Responsibility involved setting up mix files, distributing them to the team and
solving their problems on the go.

While doing this developed a utility using AutoLisp to automate the drawing
process of piping to their standards, and by using this utility the drawings
were much more compliant to their standards.

Apotekt AB – Sweden – Was involved in finding the area of the pharmacies

and putting them in tables. Area was found for Medical Room, Pharmacy
Shop and so forth.

Conversion of the 2D plans to 3D using AutoCAD Architecture 2008.

This job involved using the AutoCAD Architecture 2008 with Swedish
standards/ using their toolbar to design the building in 3D. This job involved
calculations of the levels, level or floor differences in the drawings for each
floor and then understand the 3D part from the 2D part. Design Pillars,
beams, windows, interiors, dynamic blocks.
The most difficult part in this project involved the design of the roofs &
ramps.

After the completion of the conversion process the plans were divided into
the paper sizes and then plotted as pdf.

After all the work was complete then an RDF file was given in which all the
plots were to be aligned this file was a laser shot of the actual terrain so the 3d
converted building plans were to be set according to the RDF plan.

Designed customized villas for Green Gaarden. The worked involved
coordinating with the customers with the design, changing according to their
wishes the plans. Creating the Renderings, Walkthroughs, Electrical plans.

Prasar Bharati Chennai 2007

Trainer - Contract
Trained All India Radio staff on AutoCAD, AutoLISP, Basics of AutoCAD
Architecture 2008 for 10 days to 15 members. All the members were
Architects & Civil Engineers.

Magnacon Engineering Pvt Ltd Chennai 2005

Designer / Programmer
Joined in as a programmer for this small design organization doing Signaling
Design for Indian Railways, but then slowly learnt AutoCAD and draughting
principles to join their Design team to better understand for programming.

Did Railway Signaling plans for Indian Railways, while in work designed a
program to extract the data from blocks which were used for Contact analysis
and then used the same to prepare the Contact Analysis diagram sheets
automatically. This was for done for Indian Railways.

Did Raster 2 Vector conversions for Ohio State county maps for U.S.A using
AutoCAD and AutoLisp.

Was involved in developing the traffic arrangement plans for Chennai City
Police.

Did interior design work for Mansuk Resturant, distribution of a layout to

plots for Savithri Karthik Constructions, T. Nagar.

Did design of Water treatment plants for GKS Engineering.

Development of Corporate Identity Package for Yash Tours & Travels,

Coimbatore.

This work involved design of their Logo, Tour Brochures, Flyers, Business
Cards, Web site.

Did Industrial directory design for CODISSIA - Industrial Directory using

Adobe InDesign.

Developed ‘Gate Control Program’ for Codissia – INTEC fair using Microsoft
Active Server Pages & Microsoft Access Database.

Developed ‘Chappal Bazaar’ a complete suite for retail Chappal shops for
SIMCO Chappal shop. This software has the facilities of keeping track of the
attendance, Time in & Time out options for the employees working there,
Sales made by each sales man along with the commission he is entitled for
each sale. Salesman Queue for the next sale, expenses involved.

This was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic & Microsoft Access
Database.

Many reports were developed with this system which helped the shop to a
great extent.
