a. The Special Children School Karsaz was established in 1993 in a bungalow with
the aim to provide education, training & rehabilitation to the physically/ mentally retarded
and hearing impaired children. Subsequently, two more adjacent bungalows were
annexed to it in 1999 to accommodate special children of the civilian employees of
Pakistan Navy as well as general civilians. Owing to the increasing number of special
children and lack of appropriate academic-cum-therapeutic facilities, the need was felt to
establish a proper Special Children School with requisite infrastructure and facilities.
Thus a full-fledged Special Children School with state of the art facilities was constructed
in 2005 at the present site to cater for the following categories of special children:

(1) Mental Retardation (M.R)

(3) Physically Handicapped (P.H)
(4) Multiple Handicapped (M.H)
(5) Learning Disability (L.D)
(6) Visual Impairment (V.I) (Introduced from Academic Session 2008-09)

The Special Children School has highly qualified faculty to look after/educate all the

appeared in SSC FBISE Examination 2008 (05 SSC Composite and 04 SSC Part-I) and
all of them have passed their Examination with A-1 grade. The vision of the School could
not be limited to SSC level only, for further growth & development of the School and to
provide maximum rehabilitation to the special children, the need was felt for its affiliation
with FBISE at HSSC level. The School started the process of affiliation with FBISE in the
