Abstract Guidelines
Abstracts should have maximum 350 words and structured using the following sub-headings.

Objectives: (max. 500 characters): State the aims and objectives of the research, the project undertaken
or the nature of the practical problem demonstrated. What is the paper about and why is it important?
Prior Work: (max. 1000 characters): What extant concepts, research, or experiences is the paper trying
to build on? How does the paper relate to other research in this topic area?
Design/Methodology/Approach (max 1000 characters): What approach was used to capture the
practical/research evidence? How does this approach enable the aims of the paper to be achieved? What were
the main methods employed (e.g. survey, observation, case study). Why is the method appropriate, sound and
reliable?
Results/acknowledgements (max 500 characters): Highlight the key results and conclusions from the
empirical studies, evidence or experiences presented. Ensure that results are clear, precise and justified. Are
these interim results? What is the planned development of the work? What are the limitations of the results
presented?
Implications (max 500 characters): Summarize the implications of the study for one or more of the
following groups – academics, researchers, administrators of the university, quality assessors, policy makers, and
practitioners. What are the implications of the paper for the specific field and/ or developments in research/
education/practice methodology?
Originality Value (max 500 characters): Clearly state the key contribution of the paper and what is
original or unique. What is its added value and to which community does this refer? Ensure that the reader is
convinced of the paper's added value that it is thoroughly researched and is of high quality.
Key Words: Maximum of six key words or short phrases. (Restricted to 20 characters each)
References: Detailed references to prior work are required in the paper but NOT in the Abstract.

10.Organisational Behaviour in Change

OBJECTIVES: (max. 500 max characters):


Through this paper the authors intend to verify the influence of the training needs analysis in
improving the HR management and the resistance to change of a company.

PRIOR WORK: (max.1000 characters):


By applying various surveys to different companies and institutions, the paper tries to compile the
perspective of the middle management and executive personnel over the above mentioned activity.
For the HR auditing and the verification of the management to organisational change, the authors
have made use of the existing research in the field of organizational psychology, sociology and
andragogy.

DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: (max 500 characters)


As far as the tools that have been used for collecting the data and for making the research, they are
very diverse. Through the focus group technique, involving representative persons for each
professional field, and interacting with the middle management (interview technique) there has been
made a qualitative and quantitative analysis concerning the management and HR development. On
the basis of the results obtained from the two exercises there have been built specific questionnaires
which have been applied to all the employees.

RESULTS/ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: (max 500 characters)


The results comprise a diagnosis analysis of the degree of professional training and competences of
the employees in contrast with the position occupied linked with the strategy for the organizational
development. There have been identified the priority areas for training for the optimization of the
company management in order to fill the gap between the actual state and the level envisaged and
stated in the management plan for organisational change. After having the first results of the
research there has been made an action plan containing the main activities which will be undertaken

IMPLICATIONS: (max 500 characters)


By using the TNA inside the organizations as an interractive tool, they will be able to built focused
HR policies, training programs tailored to change management and technological needs. This
material can constitute a reference paper for the management of the companies and for the HR
management.

ORIGINALITY VALUE: (max 500 characters)


The added value of the paper comes from realizing a TNA through a systemic approach within all
the organizational levels and by using various working methods in order to insure the coherence and
quality of the results with the technological needs and organisational changes.
