Mission:
Empower marginalized communities to use technology to ght for their human rights.

Vision:

Aworld where all people can meaningfullyparticipate in decisionmaking to build stronger and more prosperous societies.

Theory of Change:

Catalysts for digital democracy

Who we are:
Dd is composed of an adaptive, creative and effective team. We create agile programs with humancentric design and on-the-ground analysis & evaluation. We write and publish reports for global academic and institutional use. We combine unique passion, youthful drive, human rights expertise and experience pioneering technology in 21 countries to date. In 2008, we formed Digital Democracy (Dd) based on a simple but powerful idea: Technology should be used to empower even the most marginalized groups to engage in democratic action, whether locally, on a national or international scale. We are now transitioning from having a scal sponsor to being an independent 501c3.

Strategic Plan:
1) Finalize models for partner-driven non-violent intervention and community engagement in: Countries with repressive regimes like Burma/Myanmar Communities in crisis like Haiti Post-conict transitioning states like Guatemala. 2) Drive innovation with continued training and partnerships as tech experts, researchers and trainers for grassroots capacity-building. Focus on promoting civic engagement & further understanding local denitions of democracy. Our priority is to lay a foundation for future success by: Streamlining our most effective work & honing evaluation tools for it Building our governance and leadership including an active board of directors Continuing to test our theory of change in new places with new partners.
