Lean/Six Sigma Implementation Director
Hold full P&L responsibility for plant and process optimization company, including
strategic planning, financial performance, and results of business operations. Manage,
train, and evaluate team of 25. Create communications, promotions, reseller channels,
and in-house sales programs. Oversee meetings with senior executives on strategy
implementation, performance improvement, issue resolution, and other mission-critical

General Manager/Director of Operations, 2005-2007

Plant Manager, 1998-2003


Recruited to lead turnaround for under-performing West Coast operations, including
improvements for Chemical Process Manufacturing, Material Warehousing, Distribution,
and Customer Service. Serviced customers that included Intel, Coca-Cola, TI, Bayer,
Merck, Motorola Cryo-MRI, and BMS. Highlights:
 Transformed the operation into a best-in-class organization through
exemplary efficiency, productivity, and cost performance gains following
implementation of 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day plans using Kaizen and 5S.
 Reduced order lead-time from 16 to 2.5 weeks while increasing on-time
orders from 37% to 97% and productivity by 78% through the introduction of Key
Performance Metrics.

PRIOR POSITIONS:
Business Unit Manager – Avery Dennison
 Grew sales 120% during 1st 14 months of tenure and achieved break-even
point within 2 years following development of fast-turn, made-to-order business.
 Reduced order lead-time from 6 weeks to 2 days, with a maximum 3-day
turnaround, by introducing new industry “best practices” subsequently used
throughout the division, with an additionally facility integrated on the West Coast
to service the region.

Systems
 Reduced costs by up to 70% through outsourcing and offshoring for
manufacturing and assembly operations. Guided team that transitioned circuit
board manufacturing to Mexico, answering machine assembly to Taiwan, network-
switching gear to Poland, heat exchanger production to Malta, and coin telephone
assembly to China.
