WHY A PERSON NEEDS TO BE THICAL

Our view of ourselves and the environment shapes the personal culture we observe and live.
We need to have a personal culture characterized by openness and participation.
A culture of solidarity with others leads to opportunity by which we can serve others, help promote their
genuine welfare and contribute their development.

Since our actions leave an impact on the environment a culture of stewardship imposes a sense of
responsibility for securing long term sustainability.

It is ideal in a culture of openness and participation of solidarity and stewardship to set norms and standards.

A personal culture of ethics needs external norms and standards for proper regulation, imposing of sanctions
as well as giving of rewards and public recognition of practices.

An ethical culture is guided by norms and stadards that draw the line between what is acceptable and proper
what is good and correct what is moral and legal and what is not.

A highly ethical culture develops our fundamental character as persons, leads us towards long term personal
goals and enable us to act in a socially responsible way.
