Worksite documentation refers to instructions to staff on policy and procedures

(including the application of legislation to worksite situations), which are formally
documented, and are available for reference at the worksite. Examples are standard
operating procedures, specifications, manuals, manufacturer’s information and
operating throughout levels.

Worksite standards may include but are not limited to – start/stop procedures,
changeover time, use of change parts, tools, raw materials, other changeover
criteria, and adjustment and alignment.

2 The following apply to the performance of all elements of this unit standard.

a All work practices must meet recognised codes of practice and documented
worksite health and safety and environmental procedures (where these exceed
code) for personal, product and worksite health and safety, and must meet the
obligations required under current legislation, including the Health and Safety in
Employment Act 1992, the Resource Management Act 1991, and their
subsequent amendments.

b All work practices must meet documented worksite quality management

requirements. This includes the recording (by electronic or non-electronic
means) of activities, events, and decisions.

c All communications made in relation to this unit standard must be made in

accordance with worksite procedures for content, recipient, timing and method.

3 This unit standard is intended for work-based assessment. While all performance
criteria must be met, it is noted that some range statements within this unit standard
are indicative and dependent on enterprise and worksite specific equipment,
procedures, and practices.

For elements 1 and 2, candidates are therefore to be assessed against as many

items in each range note as are available at their worksite.

Providers must be accredited by the Qualifications Authority, or an inter-institutional body

with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from
assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.

Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by the Qualifications Authority before

they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.

Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards
must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.

Accreditation requirements and an outline of the moderation system that applies to this
standard are outlined in the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP). The
