cows having plans for expansion- Market milk
produced as hygienic / quality milk with premium.
• Cross breeding with imported semen for herd
development / improved productivity of each
animal. ( Livestock import banned)
• Bull mother farm / Semen production

3
Are such farms existent?- Yes

• Al Safi (Saudi Arabia) General Farm Details

• 15000 cows (13000 milking + 2000 dry).
• Housing outdoor corrals with central
shades and evaporative coolers.
• Very hot arid climate, winter 30+C,
summer 50+C. <200mm rainfall.
Current Production Data
• Milk Averages - ‘saleable’ milk delivered
to processing factory only
• 28 kg / day / cow-in-milk
• 8340 kg / year / all cows (milking + dry)
 History
• 3840 cows – Production 40000 Ltr /
