Epilogue:

The present study was undertaken to assess the knowledge of Prime Mothers
regarding antenatal care at arterial O.P. Govt. General Hospital, Ananthapur.

Objectives:

 To assess the knowledge on antenatal care among Prime Mothers at antenatal O.P.
Govt. General Hospital, Ananthapur.
 To evaluate the knowledge of primi mothers regarding antenatal care at antenatal
O.P. Govt. General Hospital, Ananthapur.

Review of related literature helped the investigator to gain knowledge in depth about
the context. It also helped to develop the instrument for data collection and for
analysis.

A descriptive survey approach was used for data collection the setting of study
was at Govt. General Hospital, Ananthapur. A structured questionnaire was
developed to collect the data. It consists of II parts.

Part-A: Deals with demographic data that is age, sex, education, duration, religion,

occupation, Income per year, type of family, Source of information regarding

antenatal care.
Part-B: It is divided into VI Sections
Section-I: Deals with knowledge assessment regarding antenatal care and antenatal
checkups
Section-II: Deals with knowledge assessment regarding antenatal Client.
Section-III: Deals with knowledge assessment regarding antenatal exercises, rest and
Sleep.
Section-IV: Deals with knowledge assessment regarding antenatal drugs.
Section-V: Deals with knowledge assessment regarding personal hygiene
Section-VI: Deals with knowledge assessment regarding antenatal advices.

The data analysis was done by dividing into three parts.

Part-I: Deals with demographic data

Part-II: Deals with frequency and percentage distribution of sample according to
their knowledge scores.
Part-III: Deals with section wise analysis of the knowledge regarding antenatal care.

Validity of the questionnaire was done and modification were madder as per experts
opinion.
Limitations:

The study is limited only to Primi Mothers who are attending at antenatal O.P Govt.
General Hospital, Ananthapur.
The study is limited to Primi Mothers who ar willing to participate in the study and who
were available during the time of data collection.
The study is limited to assessment of knowledge of Primi Mothers who knows Telugu.
Recommendations:-
A similar study can be conducted on a large sample to validate the findings of present
study.
The study can be conducted on different settings to strengthen the findings.
