JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Start new area, Install Chilling Centers and Expansion.


• Managing the Quantity of Milk.
• Responsible of Bacterial Count of Milk.
• Ensure Antibiotic, Pesticide, Aflatoxin residual free milk.
• Manage and Control Adulterants in Milk.
• Manage Cost and losses of procurement.
• Provide Agricultural, Economics and Farm Management know how to the farmers.
• Organize and Manage Events like Field Days, Animal Health Check up Camps, Farmers .Meetings,
In House Meetings and VWDDP.
• Maintain Safety.
• Idea Generation and Implementation.
• Manage the Inventory of Factory Assets.
• Manage MBU.
• Maintain the relations with suppliers and customers..
• Train the Newly joined officers in the Dept.
• NESTAR and FARM ECONOMICS projects.
• Develop Commercial Farms and Provide Technical Know-How.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

• Started RANIA,JIWAN NAGAR and EllAHNABAD(SIRSA REGION) Install 2 chilling centers and
expand milk shed area in FEROZEPUR and FAZILKA from 80 collection centers to 135 and quantity
from 18000kg/day to 36000 kg/day.(Star performance in 2004 and 2005)
• Manage 28000 kg Milk per day and achieved the Targets by 105 %( 2009).
• Achieved the target of 80% of TPC < 1 mio of FCT’s milk and < 2 mio of tankers ‘milk at factory
dock(2009).
• Achieved 100% antibiotic and pesticide free milk and one of the best area in case aflatoxin
contamination. Selling 700 bags of CFM fortnightly to the farmers.(2009)
• Only 1 tankers (12000 kg of milk) are found Adulterant +ve and farmers were traced .(2009)

Maintain cost of chilling <22 paise in winter and <32paise in summers. Control tanker and tank losses
by regular Monitoring.
• Advice farmers on fodder production, gross margin and comparison between enterprises,
preparation of ration, P & L, estimation of cost of production and animal recording.
• Overall management (My Job) in 7 Field days cum animal health checkup champs (Mass level contact
Programme ) 4 VWDDP, 16 Farmers’ Meetings and 1 CFM factory visit.(2009)
• 0 Accident from last 6.7 years, trained in BEHAVIOUR BASED SAFETY (18 BBS observations-2009)
and defensive driving, member of department safety team from June 2009.
• Manage the inventory of factory assets like FCTS Solar geysers, Genset and Churns.
• Manage data and presentation of MBU Meetings (of Team North and Multilevel Meetings).
• Manage successfully meetings with QA, FMR, Accounts and HR.
• Trained very successful 3 new Joinees (OP, KYD, and DSB).
• Cover 26 farmer under Farm Economics (4-2005, 3-2006,3-2007,1-2008,15-2009) and 7 in NESTAR
(Best Farmers in Record Keeping) .
• Design 4 Sheds and 3 Economically Optimum commercial farms.

1. Gross Margin Calculation for farming systems(dairy in contrast of Food Grains)
2. Investigate and elaborate Labor Shortage Risk (…) influence the decision of farmers to involve in
dairy production.
3. Propose Farming Systems Combination that is best suited to economic requirement of dairy
farming.
