COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Management of Technology examines a broad range of topics and issues involved in the management of technology, including the international research and
development environment and infrastructure; government, industry, and university roles in technology development; managing the research and development
function; technology forecasting and assessment; and new product development.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR APHORISMS PRIMER
The Primer will be useful to introduce key concepts to an Engineering or Science entrepreneur who is a neophyte to the
Management of Technological Innovations.

The Primer will include a minimum of 28 aphorisms.

The Primer will include a maximum of 40 aphorisms.

The rationale for the inclusion of the aphorisms will be four times longer (as measured by the number of words, including
exhibits) than the aphorisms, per se, as a minimum. An order of magnitude difference is the length limit.

The Primer will integrate examples from enterprises listed on NASDAQ: a minimum of 8; and a maximum of 16.

The Primer will integrate material from Schilling (2008): a minimum of 8 citations; a maximum of 24 citations.

References will be included for all aphorisms, as well as the rationale (as appropriate).

The Primer will include a page (or slide) collecting all of the References: Aphorisms; Articles & other material, a list of the
NASDAQ enterprises cited; Videos.

Microsoft PowerPoint or Word will be used for the Primer.

The filename for the submission will include the name of the person submitting the Primer: e.g.
lastname_firstname_aphorism_primer_MOT_fall_09.ppt
