WRITING YOUR BILL
Your bills must be completed in proper format and turned in with all the necessary
requirements on the given due date or else you will receive no credit. If you are absent,
the bill is still due to your teacher.

Guidelines for receiving full credit:

1. Bills must be typed using a standard 11 or 12-point font. *Be sure to note margin
specifications on sample.
2. Bills must be written in your own words. Do not cut and paste any information
from outside sources.
3. The body of the bill must include MLA-style citations for any and all factual,
statistical and/or supportive data and information obtained from outside sources.
Do not use HTML’s – find sources with authors or cite with a proper short title.

**Bills without any citations will not be accepted and will automatically receive a
zero. Be careful of plagiarism; if it is not common knowledge then it requires a
citation.

4. Use a minimum of two outside sources. Print out copies of all of your resources to
turn in with your completed bill. The copies are due with your bill. If they are not
turned in your bill will be considered incomplete and therefore late. Save a tree and
only print out the pages you used.
5. Include a properly formatted MLA style works cited/bibliography. Follow MLA
guidelines for full credit. No bibliography = no credit.
