Meeting called to order at 12:05 pm.

1. Thanks to Karl French and Nicky Bruckhardt for arranging SAC meeting space while the DuPont
Room was being renovated.
2. December meeting minutes were approved as written.
3. Old Business

a. Coat Drive. Karl French stated he submitted requests for publicity to radio stations. Dorms,
frats and sororities have donation boxes and are having a contest. Campus Life has donated a
prize. A box is now in Ammi Hyde building. If you see a bin that is full, call Karl at 12121 to
empty it and put the donations in storage until they can be transported to the Denver Rescue
Mission. Nicky stated the drive will be announced at hockey and basketball games this
weekend. Receipts can be obtained – there is a link to the Denver Rescue Mission on the
SAC web site. Volunteers may be needed to take items to the Mission. Final pickup will be
on Monday, January 21 st. Stephanie would like us to inventory the items to get a volume
comparison to last year’s drive, which was 3 carloads.
b. Sustainability Committee update: Karl French will work with the Committee to make the
sustainability effort more uniform. It was mentioned the Provost’s conference this year will
be about sustainability.
c. SAC T-shirts: We should have SAC t-shirts in time for the Egg Hunt.

4. New Business

a. SAC Egg Hunt is usually held the Saturday before Easter so this year it will be on March
22nd. SAC members are requested to help stuff the eggs and are encouraged to go to the Egg
Hunt – it’s fun!

5. Permanent Business

a. Election of a Vice President. Kathy Aliaga volunteered and was voted in as Vice President.
This created an opening for Treasurer, and Nicky Bruckhardt volunteered and was voted in as
Treasurer.

6. Announcements

a. Treasurer’s Report. We had charges for the luncheon and quick copy and income of $86 from
Cartridges for Kids. The present balance is $9,237.82. It was mentioned that Cartridges for
Kids will also accept cell phones and accessories including chargers; dvds; video games; and
all printer and toner cartridges.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:23.

The next meeting will be held February 13, 2008 in the DuPont Room of Mary Reed, 1st floor.

Respectfully submitted,

Grace Fisgus, Secretary
