Instructions for PoweredTemplates.com Design Templates

We hope you make many a great presentation from these PowerPoint design
templates.
The backgrounds have been designed to make life easier for you to make great
looking presentations. For example within each template there is already the
most common types of slide already made for you!
- Title master
- Slide master
- Print master
- 17 pre-made charts (in case you've purchased a full package with charts
and diagrams)
- Three backgrounds in a separated JPEG-files
You may wish to print out these instructions.

A. To Use our PowerPoint Template

1. Start PowerPoint
2. Choose the "File" menu
3. Click on "Open"
4. Navigate to where the PoweredTemplates.com template is located
(e.g. C:\Downloads\)
5. Click on the filename of the template you want to load with the left
mouse button (e.g. template.ppt)
6. Then click on "Open"
7. Choose the "File" menu
8. Select "Save As...."
9. Navigate to where you would like to save your presentation
(e.g. My Documents)
10. Type in a new filename where it says "File name"
(e.g. PoweredTemplates Presentation)
11. Then click "Save"
You have successfully loaded a template and saved it under a new name.
You are now safe to change the presentation any way you want.
- You can edit any content of the presentation
- To get more slides (e.g. more bullet lists) simply
a) select the slide you need in pane "Slides"
b) select the "Insert" menu and
c) select "Duplicate Slide"
- To alter any of the graphs simply double click on the actual graph within a pa
ge
then simply enter your own numbers
- To alter the diagram simply copy and paste each box around the page editing th
e
content as you go
- To add your logo...
a) Choose the "View" menu
b) Select "Master"
c) Click on "Slide Master"
d) Cut and paste your logo on this page

B. I don't see any charts included in the zip!

The charts can't be in the zip as separated files. They are the part of pre-made
template. Please open template-17.pot and you will see 17 additional slides
with charts.

C. To make your existing presentation use PoweredTemplates.com PowerPoint templa

1. Open your existing presentation
2. Choose the "Format" menu
3. Select the "Slide Design..." option
3. In "Slide Design" pane click on "Browse:"
4. Navigate to where the PoweredTemplates.com template is located
5. Change the "Files of type" pull down menu to "Presentations and Shows"
6. Click on the presentation template you require
7. Then click on "Apply"
8. Your presentation will now have the "look" of the new PoweredTemplates.com t
emplate

D. To save a PoweredTemplates.com template as a PowerPoint template

If you wish to make a template available when you choose the "File" menu, "New"
then do the following:
1. Choose the "File" menu
2. Click on "Open"
3. Navigate to where the PoweredTemplates.com template is located
4. Click on the filename of the template you want to load with the left mouse
button
5. Then click on "Open"
6. Choose the "File" menu
7. Click on "Save As.."
8. Click on the drop down menu "Save as type"
9. Chose "Presentation template (*.pot)
10. At this point you could make a new directory and save the templates in there
.
11. Click "Save".
It should, by default, save the template (.pot) file in your templates directory
.
Which should be something similar to c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates
or wherever your existing PowerPoint templates are stored.
If you create a new directory (e.g. PoweredTemplates.com) then that's where the
templates will be stored (e.g. c:\program files\microsoft office\PoweredTemplate
s.com)
So, when you choose "New" from "File" menu and you select "From design template
" the new
template will be listed. (e.g. template.pot)

E. To copy just the background into your presentation

If you just require one of the fantastic backgrounds from the PoweredTemplates.c
om template
then do the following.
1. Choose the "File" menu
2. Click on "Open"
3. Navigate to where the PoweredTemplates.com template is located
4. Click on the filename of the template you want to load with the left mouse b
utton
5. Then click on "Open"
6. Choose the "View" menu
7. Select "Master"
8. Click on "Slide Master"
9. Press the right mouse button
10. Choose "Save Background"
11. Navigate to where you would like to save background
(e.g. My Documents)
12. Type in a new filename where it says "File name"
(e.g. PoweredTemplates Background)
13. Then click "Save"
14. Open your existing presentation by following steps 1-9
15. Choose "Background"
16. Click on down arrow in the new popup window
17. Select "Fill Effects" in that menu
18. Choose "Picture" tab and click "Select Picture"
19. Navigate to where you saved background
(e.g. My Documents)
20. Click on the filename of the background you want to load with the left mouse
button
21. Then click on "Insert"
22. Click on "Ok" button
23. Click on "Apply" button

F. To remove the "slide number" from every page

If you would like to remove the slide numbering on every page then do
the following.
1. Choose the "View" menu
2. Click on "Header and Footer"
3. Remove the "Slide number" mark
4. Press "Apply to all" button

G. Then I print my slides or convert them to a PDF-file a dark square appears


at the bottom of the picture!

There is a gradient at the bottom of the second slides. If you get this
problem just try to remove it from your presentation. To remove the gradient
please do the following steps:
1. Open your presentation
2. Select from main menu "View -> Master -> Slide Master"
3. Click once on the bottom of the slide to select the gradient
3. Press Delete or Del key to delete the gradient
4. Close master view and save the presentation.

H. The system requirements to use the PowerPoint background templates are:

- An IBM Compatible PC running Windows 95 or higher
- PowerPoint 97 or higher
(To check what version you have....Run PowerPoint then click the "Help" menu,
select "About" to see your version of PowerPoint)
- A graphics resolution of 640x480 (VGA) or higher and more than 256 colours
- Ideally a graphics resolution of 800x600 (SVGA) and 16bit colour
(lots of colours!)

There are only restrictions for reselling our designs in any form. You are
authorized to make any necessary modification(s) to our products to fit your
purposes. You may show presentations to your clients (colleges, fellows, student

etc) and give them a copy if that is necessary. But you may not sub-license,
assign, or transfer the license to anyone.
