DAYLIGHT SAVINGS: State fire marshal urges

residents to test, check smoke alarms; change batteries
The Bureau of Fire Services (BFS)
in the Department of Energy, Labor &
Economic Growth urges consumers to
change batteries in their smoke alarms
and carbon monoxide detectors when
changing their clocks to Daylight Sav-
ing Time (setting clocks ahead one hour)
on Sunday, March 13. Having working
smoke detectors with fresh batteries can
provide a family with crucial extra sec-
onds to escape a burning home.
“Communities nationwide witness
tragic home fire deaths each year. Al-
most two-thirds of home fire deaths
resulted from fires in homes with no
smoke alarms or no working smoke
alarms,” said State Fire Marshal Ronald
R. Farr. “It’s critical to test your smoke
alarm monthly, change the battery once
a year, and replace the smoke alarm with
a new one every 10 years. Now is the best
time to purchase newer models with lith-
ium batteries that will last the life of the
unit. Having working smoke alarms is a
simple, effective way to reduce home fire
deaths.”

25th Anniversary
Cedar Springs
Community Night
Thursday, April 21 • 6 - 9 PM
Cedar Springs High School
Community Night began small and
has grown into a wonderful event!
It started as a way to showcase the student’s accomplishments, thus bringing the school
and community together. Through the years we encouraged businesses, agencies, and
organizations to also set up booths, now in the current High School.
The Community Action Network (CAN) took over the sponsorship of the event, previously
run by the CS Education Boosters. CAN was joined by the Cedar Springs Public School.
There’s something to be proud of here in Northern Kent County, and we want people to
know what a great community Cedar Springs is with what we have to offer.
This is not a fundraiser - vendor fees ($25) cover expenses. The committee advertises
the event. Participants are welcome to advertise on their own. The evening is free to the
community. We usually showcase around 130 booths.
If you want to rent a booth or need more information feel free to contact Isabelle Brace at
izzyb9@charter.net or izzybr9@gmail.com or you can call 1-616-696-9543.

See You At Community Night!

The Hierarchy of Therapeutics (Continued from Last Week)
To understand Energy Medicine, we need to understand that our tissues, when they are healthy, have a
specific harmonic vibrational frequency. When there is illness or disease, that normal vibrational frequency

Don’t Forget…
changes, usually to a lower rate.
Energy medicine refers to natural substances that carry a harmonic vibration similar to that of the healthy
organ or tissue. When these substances are introduced into the body topically or orally the healthy frequency
can be transferred to the ailing tissue. The normal vibration returns and the illness will subside.

Deadlines
Energy medicine may also refer to the transfer of energy from one person to another for the purposes of
healing. The electromagnetic energy from the hands of a healthy person can be transmitted to someone who
is ill, in order to change the vibrational frequency of a diseased organ or tissue from illness to health.
for River Valley News Shopper Tinctures, homeopathic remedies, and essential oils all can transfer energy to abnormal tissues to raise the
vibration by harmonics. They cannot force chemical changes in the body, they can only stimulate the body into
healing itself. Arnica Tincture, Homeopathic Arnica and the Essential Oil Lavender are all wonderful for healing
sprains, strain, tendonitis, and physical trauma.
News & Editorial - Tuesdays at Noon In the case of homeopathic medicine, the more diluted the remedy, the stronger its effect. Homeopathic
remedies that are diluted more than 24X or 12C, no longer carry any of the original physical substance used to
make the remedy. This is why there can be no side effects and no toxicity. Even though they have no physical

is strengthened by the dilution and succession (shaking) process that is used to make
Business/Church Directories - homeopathic remedies. This energy signature can then effect the harmonic vibrations of
the diseased organ or tissue, bringing it back to normal. Over 3000 homeopathic remedies
Wednesdays at Noon form a complete therapeutic system for dealing with a host of health issues.
With energy transfer from one person to another, the receiving party will benefit only if
they agree to receive the energy transfer at subconscious levels. “Hands on” healing will
Classified & Display Advertising - be discussed at a later time.
We can see that there is a wide range of medicinal therapy available to us. It is important
Thursdays at Noon to learn more about these and use a practitioner who is knowledgeable in as many levels
of therapeutics as possible.
