COLLEGE
AVENUE:
I,
and
several
residents,
met
again
with
County
representatives
related
to
the
dangerous
situation
of
the
heavy
“pedestrian”
travel
along
College
Avenue,
the
need
for
street
repairs,
and
funding
to
address
these
concerns.
GAS
PIPELINE
CONSTRUCTION:
While
not
a
new
item
but
one
that
is
getting
more
notice
in
the
3rd
District
is
the
MMSD
gas
pipeline
installation
that
has
been
making
its
way
eastward
along
College
Avenue.
It
will
be
shifting
sides
of
the
street
as
it
moves
eastward.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
SABER
SPORTS:
Congratulations
on
making
the
Tournament!
The
Franklin
6th
grade
boys
basketball
team
played
in
the
Wisconsin
State
Invitational
Championship
Tournament
in
Wausau
WI
on
March
26th
and
27th.
This
tournament
featured
86
sixth
grade
teams
from
all
over
Wisconsin.
The
field
is
divided
into
divisions
based
on
high
school
enrollment.
It
is
the
most
prestigious
youth
basketball
tournament
in
the
State
of
Wisconsin.
Franklin
finished
in
13th
place!
Also,
congratulations
are
in
order
for
our
Saber
Girls
Basketball
Team,
who
were
in
the
WIAA
Playoffs
and
narrowly
missed
an
opportunity
to
compete
at
the
Division
I
State
Tournament.
They
barely
lost
to
Middleton,
61‐59.
Our
youth
sports
represent
the
community
with
pride
all
over
the
State
of
Wisconsin.
We
should
all
be
very
proud
of
them!
