release notes for your platform to ensure that all required steps are
completed. When you have completed this checklist, use it to help you
provide information you will be prompted for during installation.

Installation Checklist to Install Oracle9i
Swap Space: Minimum 2 x RAM or 400
MB, whichever is greater.
CD-ROM drive: A CD-ROM drive
capable of reading CD-ROM disks in
the ISO 9660 format with RockRidge
extensions.

Disk Space: 3 GB
Operating System: Oracle9i Release 1
(9.0.1) is certified on SuSe 7.1, Kernel 2.4.2
and the operating system library glib 2.2.
Operating System Patches Required: No.
Tuning Kernel Parameters for Oracle
Required: Yes. (Refer to the Oracle9i release
notes for Linux Intel to ensure that you
have proper parameter settings.)
X Server system software. (Refer to the
installation guide for more information on
the X Server System and emulator issues.)
