The Grayson County College Visual Art
Department invites you to participate in the
“A Bag is a Bag is a Bag…” exhibition and
fund-raiser, a benefit to be held at the
Grayson County College South Campus in
Van Alstyne, from April 12 to April 21,
2011. We are inviting artists to submit one
of a kind hand-made or decorated art
handbags, totes, knapsacks, backpacks,
rucksacks, shoulder bags, purses, satchels,
carry-on bags, duffel bags, clutch bags,
diaper bags, etc. designed and created by
the artist, to be exhibited and auctioned on
Thursday evening, April 21, 2011. Bids on
a bag will begin at $10.00.
By submitting a bag, the artist agrees to
donate 100% of the proceeds from the sale
of their bag toward funding awards for the
exhibition and other GCC art
activities.

Delivery of Bags: Bags will
be accepted at the GCC main
campus and Van Alstyne
campus, 9am to 3pm,
Monday, April 4 through
Friday, April 8 by
arrangement
Bag Exhibit open to the public:

Artists Reception and Silent
Auction:
Thursday, April 21
6:00pm to 7:30pm
Bidding on mirrors will conclude at 7:30pm.
The “A Bag is a Bag is a Bag…” exhibit
and silent auction is sponsored by the
GCC Visual Art Department and the
Grayson County College South Campus.

Artists submitting work for the “A Bag is a
Bag is a Bag…” exhibition understand that all
work will be auctioned and 100% of the
proceeds from the sale of their bag will go to
the GCC Visual Arts Department for awards
for the year-end student art exhibition. The
artist also agrees that their work and name may
be used in any and all publications.
