Visando aproveitar o potencial eólico/solar da Ilha de São Luis – MA, para a
geração de energia elétrica, que atenda a demanda local, propõe-se neste trabalho,
uma alternativa de geração baseada em um sistema híbrido inicialmente do tipo
eólico-solar fotovoltaico, no qual a uma das fontes de energia torna-se
complementar, para garantir a confiabilidade e continuidade do fornecimento de
energia.
Com essa finalidade, serão desenvolvidos estudos para o levantamento do
potencial eólico e solar da região de praias da Ilha de São Luis - Ma, e os
procedimentos de simulação necessários para a especificação da viabilidade do
sistema híbrido para geração de energia elétrica. Será também feita uma análise
econômica da alternativa de geração proposta.
3. OBJETIVOS

A estratégia de operação para sistemas conectados à rede é semelhante
àquela discutida para os sistemas autônomos (grupos geradores a diesel), no
sentido de que a energia gerada pelo sistema renovável deve ser utilizada
primeiramente, e o excesso deve ser armazenado no banco de baterias. Se a
energia gerada pelo sistema renovável não for suficiente para atender a carga em
um dado período, então a estratégia de controle será análoga ao do item anterior
podendo ser utilizada a rede elétrica. É importante mencionar que o aspecto
econômico tanto de combustível quanto da rede elétrica convencional, é uma
questão importante para o futuro do planeta.
Assim o objetivo geral deste trabalho é desenvolver estudos relacionados à
análise da viabilidade técnico-econômica de um sistema de geração híbrido de
energia elétrica para a região de praias da ilha de São Luis /Ma, diminuindo a
dispersão de poluentes ambientais e conseqüentemente os seus impactos
ambientais.
