Q1:
Are u aware about e-ticketing?

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid yes 48 96.0 98.0 98.0

no 1 2.0 2.0 100.0

Total 49 98.0 100.0

Missing System 1 2.0

Total 50 100.0

INTERPRETATION:

Out of the sample of 50 respondents, 48 are aware of E- ticketing, one respondent

in not aware and the other frequency is missing. These results denote that 98% of
the people are aware of E- ticketing, whereas only 2% are unaware. Hence the
results clearly show that almost all the people are aware of E- ticketing.
Q2:
Do you use e-ticketing when you travel?

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid yes 49 98.0 100.0 100.0

Missing System 1 2.0

Total 50 100.0

INTERPRETATION:
Out of the 50 respondents, 49 of them use E-ticketing when they travel and the one
Frequency is missing which means that all the people i.e. 100% use E- ticketing when
they travel. This result proves that in today’s technological era people prefer to go for E-
Ticketing rather than paper ticketing as it is fast and easy to access.
Q3:

How come you know about e- ticketing?

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid Television 3 6.0 6.1 6.1

Internet 33 66.0 67.3 73.5

Friends and Family 12 24.0 24.5 98.0

Others 1 2.0 2.0 100.0

Total 49 98.0 100.0

Missing System 1 2.0

Total 50 100.0

INTERPRETATION:

Out of the 50 respondents, 3 respondents came to know about E-ticketing by

television, 33 by internet , 12 came to know about it from family and friends, 1
respondent came to know by some other conventional media and one the frequency is
missing. This result shows that most the people use internet these days and hence they
prefer E-ticketing as it is easily available to them.

Q4:
Frequency of usage?

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid less than once a year 11 22.0 22.4 22.4

about once a month 8 16.0 16.3 38.8

a few times a month 3 6.0 6.1 44.9

when necessary 27 54.0 55.1 100.0

Total 49 98.0 100.0

Missing System 1 2.0

Total 50 100.0

INTERPRETATION:
Out of 50 respondents, 11 use E-ticketing in less than once a year,8 use in once a
month , 3 use a few times in a month , one frequency is missing and 27 of the
respondents use E-ticketing when it is necessary for them to travel or book a ticket.
These results shows that booking of an E- ticket is purely based on the condition
that if they have to travel or if it becomes necessary for them to book a ticket, then
only they use E- ticketing, otherwise they don’t.

Q5:
Place of conducting e-ticketing?

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid home 23 46.0 46.9 46.9

office 5 10.0 10.2 57.1

Internet Cafe 21 42.0 42.9 100.0

Total 49 98.0 100.0

Missing System 1 2.0

Total 50 100.0

INTERPRETATION:
Out of 50 respondents, 23respondents book the ticket at home, 5 of them book it in
office and 21 of the respondents book it in the internet cafe and one frequency is
missing. The results are such because most of the respondents are students due to
which most of the tickets are being booked at home and in internet cafes only.

Q6:
How do you book e-ticket?

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid Travel agent 14 28.0 28.6 28.6

Yourself 31 62.0 63.3 91.8

Family friends 4 8.0 8.2 100.0

Total 49 98.0 100.0

Missing System 1 2.0

Total 50 100.0

INTERPRETATION:
Out of 50 respondents, 14 of them book the ticket from travel agent, 31 of them
book themselves, one frequency is missing and 4 of them book with their family and
friends. The results show that E- ticketing is very easy to access and each and every
individual can do it himself/herself without taking the help of his friends and family.
There are some people who book the tickets with the help of travel agents; it is
because those respondents do not have internet facility at home. So they prefer
going to travel agents for booking an E-ticket.

Q7:
Do you prefer e-ticketing over paper ticketing?

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid yes 41 82.0 83.7 83.7

no 8 16.0 16.3 100.0

Total 49 98.0 100.0

Missing System 1 2.0

Total 50 100.0

INTERPRETATION:
Out of 50 respondents, 41 of the respondents prefer E-ticketing over paper ticketing
whereas of the respondents do not use paper ticketing. The above results show that
out of 100%, 83% of the people use E-ticketing which denotes that E-ticketing is
easy to access and is more reliable compared to that of paper ticketing

Q8:
What are the reasons for not using e-ticketing ?

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid unawareness 1 2.0 100.0 100.0

Missing System 49 98.0

Total 50 100.0

INTERPRETATION:
Out of 50 respondents, only one respondent is unaware of E-ticketing whereas the
remaining 49 respondents use E-ticketing, which shows that the people who don’t
use E- ticketing are very negligible. This also shows that the E-ticketing users are
growing at a fast rate.

Q9:
Gender

Frequency Percent Valid Percent Cumulative Percent

Valid male 37 74.0 74.0 74.0

female 13 26.0 26.0 100.0

Total 50 100.0 100.0

INTERPRETATION:

Out of 50 respondents, 37 are male and remaining 13 are female. This shows that
both men and women book their tickets from home or their offices without going
to the reservation centres.

Q10:
what age group you belong to

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid less than 18 years 1 2.0 2.0 2.0

18-25 46 92.0 92.0 94.0

25-35 3 6.0 6.0 100.0

Total 50 100.0 100.0

INTERPRETATION:
Out of 50 respondents, 1 respondent falls below the age of 18 years whereas 46 fall
between 18- 25 years and 1 respondent falls in 25-35 years of age. This result
shows that the young generation use E-ticketing more than others. It is because the
people in age group of 18-25 are basically students and are more of internet users.
So they prefer E- ticketing over paper ticketing
Q11:
what is your personal / family monthly income

Cumulative
Frequency Percent Valid Percent Percent

Valid less than 10000 8 16.0 16.0 16.0

10000-20000 14 28.0 28.0 44.0

20000-30000 6 12.0 12.0 56.0

30000-above 22 44.0 44.0 100.0

Total 50 100.0 100.0

INTERPRETATION:

Out of 50 respondents, 8 fall under the income group of less than 10000 a month, 14
fall between 10000-20000, 6 fall between 20000-30000 and 22 fall above 30000
income group. This shows that income of an individual hardly matters for him for
booking an E- ticket. Therefore E-ticketing is used by every individual whether
he/she is from a low income group or a high income group.
KMO and Bartlett's Test
Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy. .767

Bartlett's Test of Sphericity Approx. Chi-Square 283.087

Df 78

Sig. .000

The KMO test is used to check how much the data is adequate and whether the data
is applicable for factor analysis or not. If the value of KMO is .9 then it is best and if
the value of KMO is below .5 then the data is not acceptable. From the above table
we can see that the value of KMO is .767, therefore the data is adequate and
applicable for factor analysis
