Internship selection methodology followed by ERC Group

Method of Evaluation:

Two topics will be given to all the applicants. You have to choose any one
between two and prepare a proposal on the same and send us your
reports. We evaluate your report and decide on the next level of
procedure.

Points to applicants:

 Fill the questionnaire attached to the mail

 Choose one topic from below

 Prepare a report and send us back in 7 days

 Report has to be of atleast 20 pages

 Can add reports, excel, statistical data to justify your logic

Topics for Analysis: (Can choose one from below)

1. Report on Community Parks (Theme based park)

• Area: 50 * 50 metres approx

• Budget of project: 50Lakh

• Proposal has to be innovative and has to be different from routine

parks, where in dimensions with respect to family, children,
community has to be developed as budget is huge.

• Innovation of any form is appreciated, keeping theme as sustainable

& green development.

2. Report on Agri Business Initiative of your choice

• For example, Business proposals can be anything ranging from

o franchisee mode supply chain initiative to KIOSK model,

o Cold storage initiative, retail unit establishment,

o Identify different marketing channels,

o Develop franchisee programs

o Develop marketing campaigns, Track sales

o Identify optimal means to transport and distribute products &

services

o Design a framework for the After Sales Services

o Design and implement a pilot food processing unit for making

small agro-based products, pre-cuts, packaged items

o Design & implement a pilot soil testing lab in rural areas on a

franchisee based model, for trading, Portal development, MIS,

 Collaboration amongst the user community, Software
development (Portals, XML), Mobile development (SMS
gateways)

o Arrive at demand supply data, cost of production analysis of

various produce &economic analysis & feasibility
development of the project

o Prepare simple training material for our farmers, vendors,

distributers and small retailers. Paper , multimedia formats
and innovative ideas welcome
o Develop detailed working plan on the implementation of
modern management practices like Six Sigma, Lean
Management, others etc
o Introduce the concept and then give your perspective with
respect to your specialization on the proposal.

For example,

o Finance student - can do budgeting part of the project;

o Operations - can file the supply chain procedure of the

business idea;

o Marketing - can propose the advertising campaign of the

product;

o HR - can mention about kind of personnel firm has to employ

and expenses;

o IT - Technology an Agri firm can include in its system

o Others - As per your respective specialization demands

After you are done with report:

 Send the report as word attachment to info@ercgroup.org

 Time given to the candidate will be 7 days; not withstanding the

deadline will be treated as candidate not interested.

 It has to reach mail box latest by 11th April’ 2011
