    If you have existing medical conditions like diabetes, BP, etc., then is there any risk of non-approval of IQAMA?. As long as the doctor says you are FIT for the job, that is all that counts. Testing is not for'medical conditions'. Rather for things that you might be carrying which can be transmitted to other people.

    2. What are the tests done?

    1. They look for STDs (HIV, HCV) and infectious diseases (TB, etc)
    2. Test: Blood (CBC, LFTs, RFT, HIV, HCV) Stool, Urine, Chest XRay, Malaria Smear
    3. No, it should not have any bearing on the approval of your iqama.. .As long as the doctor says you are FIT for the job,
    that is all that counts.

    Testing is not for 'medical conditions'.. rather for things that you might be carrying which can be transmitted to other
    people... BP and Diabetes don't fall under that category :)

    You can download the medical form from the Saudi Embassy's website.

    They're mostly looking for contagious diseases. You have to get a LOT of blood tests plus urine and stool. From what I
    remember they test for HIV, Hepatitis, Malaria, Tuberculosis, Herpes, and some STDs, also they are looking for parasites.
    The list is very long...

    If you have any conditions like diabetes, then the doctor should write that you're being treated for it and say what meds
    you're taking. I don't think diabetes is a big deal unless it would in some way prevent you from doing your job.

    I don't know what they are looking for exactly, but surely nothing like diabetes, plenty of ppl here have that, so i think
    something like that will be fine. They are probably looking for deadly or contagious disieses.
