Progress report

Introduction
Purpose:
My purpose is to provide a report about the efficiency of work related to my proposal for
constructing the college for both boys and girls.
Background:
Now a day’s shortage of colleges has become the huge problem of the people
of Pakistan especially for those who live in rural areas. To compete with this problem I
suggest you to build a college for both boys and girls so that this problem will reduce
and majority of boys and girls can study in their areas.
Scope:
•Purchasing of 18 acre land in resident area. (2 months) 01/01/2010 to 26/02/2010
•Advertise our vision by the way of website and television.(2 months) 28/02/2010 to
25/04/2010
•Hiring of Engineers and labor.(2 months)25/04/2010 to 29/06/2010
•Construction of building, laboratories, separate department for different Programs
including parking lot.(8 months)29/06/2010 to 30/02/2011
•Purchasing of power plant, laboratory equipment, computers and other accessories.(3
months)30/02/2011 to 27/05/2011
•Purchasing of furniture, white board, black board, water cooler, and other electronic
devices.(2 months)27/05/2011 to 28/07/2011
• Hiring of qualified staff for the students and the secret security room in which
hidden cameras are there.(2 months)28/07/2011 to 27/09/2011
Status
Task completed:
•Purchasing of 18 acre land in resident area was a difficult task but there was a team
work behind it and we have complete the task within time.(2 months) 01/01/2010
to 26/02/2010
•Advertisement of our vision by the way of website and television was very easy for us
and its also completed within time.(2 months) 28/02/2010 to 25/04/2010
•Hiring of Engineers and labor was very difficult task for us because there were no
houses near the constructing area so we have to use camp for the engineers.
After this we are able to go to our next objective and it was also done within time.
(2 months)25/04/2010 to 29/06/2010
•Constructing the building has been done. Again it was also very difficult task because
there becomes the shortage of labor so we hire more labor and did over time six
hours per day to twelve hours per day. After this we have constructed the
 building within time but remaining laboratories, and separate department for
different programs wasn’t completed on time so again we hire one more engineer
and also 100 labors. After that the task had been completed in 10 months instead
of 8 months.(10 months)29/06/2010 to 30/04/2011
Remaining Task:
•According to plane purchasing of power plant, laboratory equipment, computers and
other accessories will be done in next (3 months) 1/05/2011 to 27/07/2011
•Purchasing of furniture, white board, black board, water cooler, and other electronic
devices will be took at least (2 months) 27/07/2011 to 28/09/2011
•Hiring of qualified staff for the students will be done in (2 months) 28/09/2011 to
25/11/2011
Conclusion

Summary:
Being a in charge of this project. I am fully satisfied with the progress of my work
and my entire team. There were certain problems faced by the team but my team really
worked hard and they overcome the problem by doing overtime to complete the task
within time.
Evaluation:
My 60% task has been completed there were some issues but we did it as early
as possible and I assure you that the remaining task will be done according to given
time.
Forecast:
Our reaming task will be complete with in (7 months) 1/05/2011 to 25/11/2011 and the
opening ceremony of the college will be on 05/03/2012.
