VIKALP STRUCTURE
And the main reason for reorganization of structure of organization is to make it efficient regardless of lack
of a good leader. And to make a virtual leader1 who is a mixture of all teachers rather than an Actual one
who has many limitations.
And also to know and analyze Each vikalp student perfectly so as to know his actual problems which he faces
in learning and to correct it properly.
ORGANISATION
WORKING LEVELS2
This is a type of classification between administrators & teachers of Vikalp. Three ranks are induced in which
two are Equivalent in all manners such as respect and power and the third one which is Trainee Rank needs
more experience to be promoted to one of the above two.
The Top two Equivalent ranks are Ad hock Masters and Prominent Teachers.
AD HOCK MASTERS
Meaning is simple and self explanatory. These are Masters who run the Vikalp but are of temporary Nature
(as they are of same rank as Prominent Teachers but only their Job and Role is Different).
Their main job is to look after their group of teachers and some have the job of representing their group in
Core Committee.
The main job is to see how other Prominent Teachers are working and Look after proper functioning of
Vikalp. And to conduct meetings at Core/Group levels as the situation requires.
PROMINENT TEACHERS
Ad hock Master’s work is not to teach (although he Can with his own will). So who’ll teach? The rest will
teach. A Prominent Teacher is of same rank of Ad hock Master but kind of job is different.
They only have one responsibility i.e. to look after the Vikalp Students Education and well being within
Vikalp.
It is their job to teach the students as decided among the Group of Teachers and to look after the student’s
Education who are assigned to them.
They are the one who make the working of the Vikalp success. And they are the one who are the backbone
of Vikalp as the main job is theirs.
TRAINEE
They are the New aspiring teachers who wish to enter the Family of Vikalp. They have the Freedom to join
any Group as they want (with their consent). Then they are assessed weather he/she is of a capability to be a
good teacher or Not. Weather he/she has the correct attitude towards the children whom she teaches.
They are trained and assessed by any of Prominent Teachers and Ad hock Masters of the Group. And in some
Cases Trainee may be transferred to another group just to assess whether the trainee is capable or not.
Although this Transfer is of temporary Nature and he/she will be back in his own Group.
CORE COMMITTEE
Core committee will consist of Ad hock Masters( and in some Cases Prominent teachers).
These Ad hock Masters will act like representatives of their respective Groups and will be elected by their
respective Groups to represent their Group. And in Core Committee, all Ad hock Masters Will be Equal.
Now coming to the powers of core committee .It will have much power to do almost anything but under
morals. They can also take certain extreme steps such as demoting or expelling any Ad hock Master or
Prominent Teacher, or can Dismantle an ill functioning Group or can grant an respected Volunteer Rank of
Prominent Teacher.
Core committee can implement New rules and can change/reorganize the whole students structure or even
the organizations structure. It can change the syllabus of any class. It can create a temporary Group to
Perform some special tasks, etc.
GROUP OF TEACHERS
There are 3 types of Groups.
DEFINITION: Group is a set of Vikalp Teachers who have a certain task and role to perform & to manage
anything which gets in their Domain of tasks and duties (& to see the smooth running of Vikalp by doing
their Part).
This Definition explains a Lot. Now this is an Advice on How many Groups Can one teacher Join. A
teacher can join any number of informal groups and can be selected for any number of Temporary
groups But are advised to join At most one formal group.
Now, I Shall Discuss the duties and tasks of each type of groups.
FORMAL GROUP
They have the task of teaching the Kids, who come under their Domain, the subjects which are assigned to
them. There may be any combination of students and Subjects
This is a formal group and hence has at least one representative in core-committee.
INFORMAL GROUP
They have informal tasks to do such as Games, Drawing and any Informal activity. As they are informal
group, they may or may not have a representative in the core-committee.
TEMPORARY GROUP
Temporary groups are for special purposes as decided by them. The definition may be “The group meant for
special tasks as defined by core-committee and the members as selected and approved by core-committee.
It has been left completely to the groups and its members to decide. They should create a system as they like
or Feel Comfortable with, But They have one duty alone that is to meet their Main Objectives.
