Assistant Manager

 Successfully working as a Process Engineer in the Red area of the Alumina Refinery with good technical and
field operation knowledge.
 Production planning and execution, responsible for meeting the shift production targets.
 Planning and Implementation of various modifications for the betterment of Process, Mechanical and
Instrumentation side hence achieving a good reduction in Cost of Production.
 Planning and efficiently carrying out the shutdowns with maximum efficiency.
 Responsible for Manpower management and allocation of jobs.
 Knowledge of the PFD and P&ID’s.
 Operation of Shell and Tube type and Plate Type Heat Exchangers (increasing their operation life, scales
cleaning, Hydrate cleaning, flow increment etc).
 Experience in operation of Pressure vessels, atmospheric vessels, Geho pumps, centrifugal pumps, screw
pumps.
 Experience in Application of the Mass balance, Volume processed, increasing the production efficiency with
reduction in specific consumption of raw materials and energy, Reduction in loss of critical element(e.g.
Caustic soda, Alumina ,energy, water etc).
 Experience in operation and maintenance of Backward feed Evaporation( 6 Effect Evaporation),increasing the
Evaporation rate , steam Economy, maintaining quality of process and live steam condensate, maximization of
the return live steam condensate to reduce specific consumption, Calandria Operation, its condensate and acid
cleaning and maintenance.
 Experience of operation of High Rate Thickeners (Settler and Counter current washing technique),caustic soda
and alumina recovery, increasing the life of high rate thickeners to reduce the cost of production, use of
flocculant dosing system for forced settling.
 Experience in the operation of Pressure filters(Diaster filters).Increasing of the filteration rate, production of
the filter aid and its proper usage, increasing the filter cloths life etc..)
 Efficiently handling of the Ball Mills and its associated equipments. Experience of Wet Grinding
 Responsible for Shift activities, troubleshooting and parameter control of the entire given area.
 Responsible for Communication and coordination with the Central Control Room.
