Based on our survey, there are four companies which selling the same product as our company. Our product is the cheapest compared to
these four companies. The reason why our sales price is far away cheaper than others is because we are able to get cheaper stock from the
dealer. Besides, our main customer lines are most probably student. Hence, we do not want to raise our stock price too much.

Financial Analysis
Since Owner’s equity is the same with current assets, therefore Return on Assets is
the same as Return on Equity, which is 0.248.
41
Since there’re no liabilities in our business, we don’t need to determine Current Ratio
and Liquid Ratio as well.
Since Owner’s equity is the same as total assets, Ownership Ratio would be 1.
Our business does not have any debts; hence Debt-to-Equity Ratio is 0.

The Harvest Strategy of the Company
The Radiance Shop is made up of 10 members from different background. Every
member of the company plays an important role in running the business. The
members had contributed RM50.00 as the capital of the business in the beginning
running the business. Therefore, each member is said to be the “investor” of the
business. The amount of money which contributed by each member of company will
bring a great return at the end of the business where profits are gain.
In case there are any changes in the management and or the ownership, the
company had come up with a few strategies to solve the problems to make sure that
the business runs smoothly and bring returns to the investor. These strategies might
bring a “win-win” situation to both parties or maybe affected the investor only
without any effect on the business of the Radiance Shop.

➢ In the case of any changes in the management’s structure, the members of
the company had made an agreement towards the solution which benefits
the company.
The company’s authority made this decision as both the secretary and
sales executive are in charge of services and promotions which is the
little similarity of works.
46
This decision was made after taking consideration of the similarity of
works and ability og the members of the Radiance shop.
➢ In the case of any member of the company decided to resign from the
company due to any reason, the authority of the company had come up
with a few investors exit strategies.
➢ Exit without getting back the invested money which work as the capital of
the company.
In order to make sure the business run smoothly, any member who
decided to resign from the company within the period where business
were run agreed that the money that they had invested into the
business will be “burnt”.
All the members of the company agreed that the invested money shall
remain in the business although the investor chose to leave.
This is to ensure that the business have enough capital as planned
throughout the run of the business.
The decisions made is to ensure that the members of the Radiance
Shop are loyal to the company as they will not get back any return if
they do not stay in the company during the run of business by the
company.
47
➢ Exit by getting back the invested money which work as the capital of the
company.
The invested money by all the members of the company is important
for the business to run smoothly as planned.
In case any of the members choose to resign from the company with
the reason of financial problems, the authority of the company will
consider of returning all the invested money at the beginning of the
business which is RM 50.00 per investor.
By this way, it will not bring huge effect towards the company’s
business as the capital needed for the company is only about RM
30.00 which means the company has an extra of capital of about RM
20.00.
Since the company have enough capital to cover all the cost of source,
it is possible for the company to return the invested money by the
investor to the investor without affecting the business.
This strategy is only applicable to the member who was proven that
faced financial problems.
48
1) Continuity of business.
➢ In the case of any sudden changes in the business of Radiance shop, the
company’s authority decided a few strategies to ensure the business runs
continuously without meeting any disturbance.
➢ Financial Problems:
Sometimes, a company might meet some financial problems during
the halfway of the business where they do not have enough capital to
increase the number of product.
In order to overcome the problems, the authority of the company had
decided to increase the investment of each of the members of the
company from RM 20.00 each to RM 50.00 each.
Since the company is made up of 10 members, with the investment’s
increment of 150% from RM 20.00 to RM 50.00, the capital of the
company will be increased from RM 200.00 to RM 500.00.
With the solution, the financial problem which might faced by the
company can be overcome easily without affecting the run of the
business.
This will ensure that the business run smoothly.
49
➢ Lack of Human Resource.
The company is made up of 10 members which is a small amount of
members to run a business.
If the human resource is not enough to cover the needs of the
company, it might cause the slow production and lower quality of
services.
To overcome this obstacle to ensure the continuity of business, the
company planned to group the members into 2 different groups. The
first group will be made up of 6 members who will be concentrating
on the production of the company’s product. This will include the
Sales Executive, the Marketing Manager, the Production Manager and
also the Logistic Manager. On the other hand, the Director of the
company, the Secretary and the Financial Manager will make up
another group which will be concentrating on selling the products.
50
By having two groups working consecutively, it will ensure that the
business can be run smoothly without any drag of time or lack of
stocks.
51
team members are able to provide us products with wholesale price, so, we make full
use of the chance to reduce our cost in buying stocks.
Conclusion
The Radiance Sdn. Bhd. had come up with the idea of selling alphabet key
chain and some miscellaneous item such as brooch, creative pencil case, silver
necklace and etc. The authority of the company then decided to sell the products at
the Serumpun College’s food court. The company decided to choose the venue to set
up stall based on the respond given by the students and residents of the colleges. The
company’s goals at the end of the business is to gain profit which covered the costs
that were paid during the preparation of the products and to make sure the company
meets the need of their customers.
Based on the feedback that the company gained, they decided to set up
stall at the food court of Serumpun College to promote their products. The company
had also come up with a few plans on the promotions of products. In order to get top
satisfaction of their customers, the company had decided to sell the products at a
52
lower price compared to the market. The company had set the price which is
affordable by students in the university while bring a great revenue to the company at
the same time. In order to achieve this, the marketing and logistic manager of the
company had decided to adjust the price of the products with a few suppliers to get a
lower price. The company is selling the products at the price range between RM5 to
RM10 per keychain which is said to be affordable by the survey which was
conducted earlier. Besides that, the company decided to sell the products around the
university which is away from the food court where they set up the stall. This will be
done by the members doing direct selling to the students who is waiting for buses at
the bus stop, students who is waiting for classes in the faculty and so on. The
members will be carrying the products around the university and sell the product as
they go. This will enlarge the market of the company to the whole university.
The Radiance Sdn. Bhd. directors took 2 weeks to review the operation
manual after the decision on the promotions, venue of business and products to be
sold were made during the meeting of the company. This is to make sure the business
of the company run smoothly and avoid any disturbance during the business being
run. During the review of operation manual, the company had make sure the
authority of Serumpun College’s food court noted on the business that are going to
be carry out for 2 weeks. Besides that, the company had made sure that the keychain
were done in a proper way and it’s in the good condition before selling out to the
customers. Each keychain was checked properly and detail by the production
manager of the company with the help of the sales executive of the company. This
53
will help to increase the confident and satisfaction of customers towards the
company’s products.
After the review of the operation manual was done, the company will
start their business as planned which will commerce on the 2th August 2010. The
business will last for few weeks which will be until the 1th October 2010 in the
Serumpun College’s food court. During the business, the company to always review
the progression of business, the effectiveness of marketing plan and also analyze the
respond of customers. This will help to enhance the quality of products and services
provided by the company. If the company found any necessary changes to be made to
enhance the company’s products and services, the company will make changes after
discussion were made with the whole authority of the company.
The company will close sales on the 1th October 2010. After the closure of
business, the company will come up with the post-mortem of the business which
included the revenue that company gained during the sales, the effectiveness of the
business, the operations of business and also the effectiveness of marketing plan.
This should be done by the company in order to make sure that goals which were set
up by the company before running the business were achieve by the company at the
end of the business.
