View North
Ravenswood Avenue is two-way in this area, with the section north of Wilson Avenue wider than to the south.
This fact, coupled with existing angle parking along the tracks, means that only about five feet would remain for
green space once the track project is completed. (Almost all existing landscaping here is on railroad property and

will be removed.) The current wooden retaining wall for the angled parking area in this area is also deteriorating. (on RR property line)
A new low landscape wall is planned in the additional ten feet of green space created here by making
Ravenswood one-way southbound.
The area south of Wilson presents a different picture. This section of green space is currently the widest in the Stormwater

overall project. The street is also an historic artifact, being the only remaining stretch of Ravenswood still in
paving bricks. Here a continuous low landscape “green” wall will be installed, with an additional five feet of
green space created by making Ravenswood one-way southbound. The brick street will be preserved as well. Landscape Wall
New landscaping will be planted due to significant changes in slopes and grades to meet the railroad elevation.
