I am submitting this resume for the position of FFS Therapist at NHS Knights Road. I
have seven years of extensive training and experience providing therapeutic intervention
to mentally challenged children diagnosed with ADHD, ODD in school, home and
community. I have worked closely with Behavioral Specialist in writing and interpreting
treatment plans and with Psychiatrists in understanding the psychosis associated with
the mental health diagnosis of children.

As an Adult Targeted Case Manager Supervisor at NHS 27 E. Mt Airy Ave., I supervise


a staff of five Intensive Case Managers and two Resource Case Managers for 133
adults diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Depression, Bipolar I, Bipolar II and Substance
abuse as well as other medical conditions in Philadelphia County. .Six years experience
working with adults experiencing the ongoing unpredictable stressors of mental illness,
the struggle with substance abuse and the impact on their family and community and the
will to become compliant with treatment.

My therapeutic approach would be to access the client strength and therapeutic needs
Participate in identifying maladaptive or destructive behavior patterns. Foster and
encourage communication and problem solving skills approach while developing and
strengthening adaptive habits in small steps consolidated through reinforcements while
assisting them in their effort to access available resources and services according to
their needs.

Achieving an Ms Degree in Human Services/Counseling Psychology provided the tools


and knowledge from the major courses listed below to perform as a therapist using the
recovery model towards treatment compliant and independence.

My experience with mentally challenged children as a therapeutic support staff


presented the opportunity to work closely with children, teachers, counselors, parents,
psychiatrists, therapists, behavior specialist, mobile therapist and other treatment team
members in school, home and the community providing appropriate interventions in

accordance with their individualized diagnosis, treatment and educational plan towards
behavior modification, social and educational skills development

. As a mobile therapist, I will work with the treatment team using various treatment
modalities based on the individual child diagnosis, promote child centered, family
focused as developed in the treatment plan. These functions will be carried out in
accordance with the consent of the family, policies of the human service agency and the
county regulations
